i have eaten cooked rolls and garden rolls to get my fix. After all, every chef handles raw food in the kitchen! I just assume they are going to do their best to avoid cross-contaminating foods.

I ate cooked rolls, mostly California rolls and eel rolls. I don't see the risk being higher than anywhere else - all restaurants handle raw meat.

I craved sushi during my first trimester, so I had it quite often. I stuck to cooked and vegetarian and asked they be prepped away from anything raw. My OB doesn't seem to be particularly liberal on the raw fish issue, but says that cooked is fine.

Ahh... I finally had sushi last night and it was glorious! I had california, spicy tuna (but then the whole roll was fried so the tuna became cooked), salmon skin roll & soft shell crab roll! Craving satisfied!

@snowjewelz: glad you got your fix! I was really craving sushi while I was pregnant and I don't ever eat cooked rolls. We went for sushi once, I pigged out and then felt guilty...but I think we went out for sushi maybe once more after that.
