I never have, but I wonder if the kids might enjoy it. Trying to make Christmas a bit more magical this year, and was wondering if this might be something fun to try!
Have you ever been Christmas carolling?

In Ithaca I had carolers come to my door, so I joined them and had a blast.
Should do it again.

No. I'm pretty sure there's a law in my state that makes it illegal for me to sing in front of other people.

@Danizaur: Thanks for the morning laugh, haha! But I'm with you, I do NOT sing.
@mrbee: When I was growing up, our church would take all the young kids around Christmas time and go to a local nursing home to do caroling. The residents loved it!

@Danizaur: i pretend to sing in church, but i don't because i don't want to hurt anyone's ears
i have not, but my parents get carolers. when i was younger, i felt kind of awkward when they came to the door and never really knew what i was supposed to do. it's not like i was prepared to serve anything to 30 random people who show up unannounced at the door, so i just kind of stood there wishing i was anywhere else and sang along as quietly as humanly possible (and now i've outed myself as the most socially awkward person ever...). i feel like there should be a heads up flyer posted in neighborhoods if people are planning to do it.

Growing up, one of my parents' friends had a wagon and a pair of mules that he would hitch up. We would ride around town caroling and the last stop was always at another friend's house where they would serve hot cider and cookies. It was so much fun and I want to do something similar for our Christmas parties in the future, though probably a hay ride instead of a wagon since I don't have any mules.

No, but I always wanted to when I was younger. Now I think I would feel super awkward, but Liam would probably love it.

I did once. When I was in maybe 6th grade, two other friends and I decided we should go caroling. We walked around our neighborhood and sang as people opened the door. I remember most people thinking it was pretty cute and some offering us hot cocoa or snacks.

Yes. I went one year with my youth group when I was like 12. Some grinch called the police because we were apparently disturbing the peace. The cop caught up with us and told us to go home. We were in disbelief. It was like 4pm. What a scrooge. This is why we can't have nice things.
