So... my due date is officially here. I think I'm going to be waving at it as it goes by.
Baby? Hi. Mommy is kind of getting antsy out here, so could you maybe pick it up a little? Please?

Hope baby decides to make an appearance soon! We're waiting to meet you!

The evidence is not promising.
- No bloody show
- No mucous plug
- No consistant contractions
- Hardly any Braxton Hicks or anything really happening in there
- Baby hasn't obviously dropped - maybe a little, but nothing major
Hopefully my insistence that NOTHING is happening will tempt fate to surprise me by sudden labor. Hopefully. I doubt it though.

If it helps, nothing like that happened for me either and I went into labour the day after my due date

I didn't have a bloody show or lose my mucous plug until well into labor, but I was induced. Also, baby looked like she hadn't dried, but my midwife ensured me that she had been down and engaged for weeks.
Good luck to you!!

Nothing happened for me until 1 day before I went into labor. I lost my mucus plug and went into labor less than 24 hours later. Here's hoping you have your LO very soon! Good luck!

I didn't have any of that until I was in labor. Well, the baby had dropped, and I could definitely feel it the day before (like a softball between my legs), but nothing else. I hope it starts soon for you!

Oh my! Good luck getting through the day and I hope you go into labor very soon! !
Did your doctor give you a bishops score?
honeydew / 7589 posts
@T.H.O.U.: I've chosen not to have any cervical checks, and we won't be considering induction for quite awhile unless there is a medical indication, so no Bishop's Score here.

@Arden: on my due date I basically had nothing happening either. I did get an internal check and was barely 2cm and 60% - but felt no contractions or anything.
The day after my due date the contractions started gradually by 5pm and I had the baby the next day! So here's hoping you are close! I'm sure you are....

@Arden: Good luck. I hope you find some things to make you feel better while baby gets ready to meet the world!

@mediagirl: That's what I was just going to say!
@Arden: I don't like the "forceful" wording but still kinda funny nevertheless!
BABY EVICTION NOTICE
I, the Landlord (Mommy), am issuing a notice for EVICTION. Tenant (Baby) will have to comply and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until authorization for removal by physician. After which, she will be removed from the property by induction.
The Tenant (Baby) is being evicted due to breach of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back and sides of the house were also made without approval from the Landlord (Mommy).
Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. Due to the damage by the Tenant (Baby), the foundation has been compromised, and the structural integrity of the house is questionable. The Landlord (Mommy) has also received numerous complaints about frequent nightly disturbances.
If the Tenant (Baby) doesn’t comply with the notice it will result in an immediate and forceful removal at the discretion of a physician and the Landlord (Mommy)

Come on little girl!
Hang in there mama, you've done a great job so far and only need to be patient a bit longer.

@runsyellowlites: that's hysterical!
@Arden: Good luck, you're almost there, mama!
My best friend had false labor two weeks before her DD and she totally thought it was time, poor thing tried everything, spicy, walking, bouncing on a ball, dtd. Her midwife suggested a castor oil/rootbeer float when she reached 42 weeks. It got things going!

I remember that feeling! The worst part was people asking me if I was in labor yet...being overdue made me so angsty and stabby at people. I hope you go soon! I finally just gave up and got induced because the baby was getting huge. Can't wait to meet/hear about your LO arriving!

@runsyellowlites: hahaha - just read it out loud to my husband and he comes over to the belly and says "Do you hear that baby? People are talking about EVICTING you! You'd best get a move on..."
