I'm sure a lot of that is just from being in bed all day every day! But you look fabulous! Glad you got a good tour and 31 WEEKS!!!!

@jaguar: Hooray for 31 weeks! Does your hospital allow for outside food delivery? Are you having trouble with sleeping because it's a new place or just uncomfortable ?

Bed itself is great here, I'm just uncomfortable in general. Probably just the constant downtime, which sounds really stupid when I write it down.
I made hubby bring me few sandwiches since this room has a little mini fridge. Seriously, my bump looks exactly the same from week 24 to 31! :o
As long as baby is growing fine, that's all that matters hey?

The doctor freaked me out today. I was mentioning how I felt a lot better this morning compared to the cramps and tightening yesterday, and he said that often with cervical insufficiency/incompetence, that's when things are happening - as changes can be silent and symptom free. He also said with membranes bulging like this, it's just a matter of time.
Gah! I need positive stuff today. I know they're just being realistic, but I was doing so well!

@jaguar: I'm sorry he freaked you out. You're doing great though and each day is a significant portion of her life and development. Just from 30 to 31 weeks she's prob put on close to half a lb. even if she comes today, you're in a great place. I hope she holds off for a little longer but each day is such a long part of her life and she's been able to get stronger and stronger.

@jaguar: I'm not sure if it helps or not but I walked around at 4-5cm dilated with bulging waters for almost a week with my second!

@Kemma: Was that early or term? I will be interested to see at a scan this week whether I've dilated any further, have had some funky pains in the ladybits again this afternoon!

@Ginabean3: Thank you! I should hear this week about when my next scan will be. I think this one is more for baby's growth but I guess they'll check the dodgy cervix too!

Well, that was surprising! They sprung an early morning ultrasound on me.
It was pretty crappy though. More for high risk cases/bubs doing poorly in utero - so purely diagnostic and no pictures of baby at all. (I've been spoilt!)
She asked if Georgia was a big baby - which she was. Because baby is looking nice and big! Measures above average in everything which is great with the threat of an early delivery. Cervix still holding steady - open, but won't be closing again, so she said the longer labour holds off the better, but baby is healthy. She even used me as an example to her medical student in the room as a 'perfectly average baby' & said that in this hospital, 31 weeks is considered HUGE.

To past the time on bedrest I did alot of those adult coloring books. It helped to keep my mind off things a little.

I know that gestational age is more important than weight (in terms of developmental stuff) but I hope that the weight does help her a bit!
