@Mrs Green Grass: thinking of you and hoping your little guy stays put a little longer! my cousins cousin(i'm on her moms side, her other cousin is on her dads) gave birth to a little girl at 25 weeks. she had her shower during the day and ended up going into labor that night(due to an infection, is what i'm told). the baby was 1lb 12oz and last i heard was doing well and growing and brain scans were normal. her november baby turned into an august baby. hang in there!!

@Mrs Green Grass: Wow! You're little one has lasted until 25 weeks! It sounds like it will be a good outcome no matter what! I have a few friends that have delivered at 25 weeks, and their babies (one set being twins) are healthy as can be! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and be checking back to see the updates.

Every day is big! I know weeks are the main thing, but outcomes improve every extra day. And by that logic, every extra hour.
A friend was telling me about her friend who had a baby in Sitka, Alaska at 24 weeks, had to be airlifted to Seattle, and is now a perfectly healthy 3 year old. Think about how many leaps and bounds you are ahead already in that situation! 25 weeks and in a good hospital!

I'm really praying for you and the baby:) You have done a great job holding him in there and letting go of everything else that doesn't matter so you can concentrate on him:) Hopefully he'll cook a little longer...We're all thinking of you!!!

I am sorry to hear that your water broke, but all hope is not lost! I know of a baby who stayed in utero 18(!) weeks after its water broke (it broke at 13 weeks and she was born at 31). You can hold on, every day counts, and days quickly add up to weeks which is even better.
When you meet with NICU, really pay attention to what to expect immediately after baby is born. The more you know, the easier it will be after baby is born. Ask them to bring you as much if the equipment as possible so you can see what it looks like, and know what it is called and what it does.

Thinking of you and hoping Baby GG stays in his nice warm home to bake for a while longer! 25 weeks is huge but I know every additional day is just that much better.
I also hope they let you stay put in one room for a while! All this moving around, last minute, sounds completely chaotic and stressful! At least it's not too long until the antepartum ward opens...

So I'm unhooked from all meds and IVs (except I still have one line going into each hand). It feels nice to be unhooked, but it means no meds to stop contractions. If he wants to come, he gets to. (This is because if your water breaks, you are prone to infections and your body will let you know by trying to get baby out.)
I'm contracting pretty regularly right now...around 4 mins apart. So it could be go time soon or things could calm down. We shall see.
I pretty much made my peace with making it 25 weeks, so every hour is a bonus now.

C'mon little GG. Give us a few more days at least! We're 25 and change (25 and 2) though with steroids on board. These are good things. The stress he's already under is good for development too. I'm hoping for mature lungs and another couple days.
