So I started bleeding and having contractions at 23 weeks (last night). The bleeding has stopped and the contractions have lessened with medication but it looks like I'm going to be here anywhere from two weeks to all the way to delivery which would probably be 32 weeks.
I'm pretty overwhelmed by processing it all, but at least the baby is safe.
I'm going to need a ton of HB distraction!!

Glad to hear hear that you and baby are ok. I was put on bed rest from 24 weeks when it was discovered that my cervix was dilated with bulging membranes and I was rushed to the OR to get an emergency cerclage. I can relate to the roller coaster of emotions that you must be feeling. I made it to 37 weeks and had a beautiful healthy baby.
Try to stay relaxed and hydrated. You can do this! If you need to be on bedrest, the hardest part is psychological. Let me know if you have any questions about my experience.

@VelveteenRabbit: The hardest part is definitely going to be pscyhological! I'm just trying to process all of it right now since its such a shock! The hardest thing for me is that I'm a teacher and I want to make sure my students get what they need...especially the ap kids. THey are going to be even more shocked.

I was on bed rest for a month. You can do this! Pick up knitting, work through your Netflix list, have friends lined up to visit.
Every day your baby cooks means a better outcome. So you have to feel great about every single day!

Im so sorry to hear this! I had contractions at 26 weeks and I've been on modified bed rest since then. Im also taking procardia to stop the contractions. I'm guessing you are probably on the same thing. I was lucky to not have to go in full bed rest but the Procardia is working great for me. So far I've made it to 31 weeks. No further issues, no dialating, and baby is growin perfectly. So hopefully you will have a similar experience. Don't worry about anyone but you and baby... Everyone else will take care of themselves. Good luck!

Oh how scary! Glad you and baby are both okay. Sending you lots of good thoughts and hoping that you're able to go home and just go on bed rest rather than stay at the hospital the remaining weeks of your pregnancy. Hang in there!
