I'll just keep updating as I have them:
My contractions were a little more frequent over the night (never more than 6, but they'd prefer under 4). So that means probably at least 1 more day on the mag which is ok.
My real doc is "on" today, so I'll get to see her which is nice.

@Mrs Green Grass: Sorry to hear about your complications, but am happy to hear that you and the baby are improving on daily basis!! Yay!! Stay in there baby and bake awhile longer. It's a crazy world out here, so trust me, it's to your benefit to stay put for as long as you can!

@shoemama: That sounds like a plan to me!
So the contractions were a little more frequent over the night so we're not stopping the magnesium and we actually upped it a little bit (I say "we" like I had any say!). I think I'll pretty for sure be on it until Friday at the earliest.
But I got an air mattress on my bed! My bum is so happy!
I've felt really busy today with getting school stuff together and I had an ultrasound and a visitor so it's been a pretty good day so far, but I'm getting all grouchy with everyone on the phone.
That's the update of the moment...

@Mrs Green Grass: Yay air mattress! Do you have any decent food or people to play board games with?
I hope the new dose of mag starts working asap!

@Mrs Green Grass: Sending happy thoughts your way and for more good days ahead! If you're into epic fantasy, try Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. It's a LOT more women friendly than A Song of Ice and Fire. By friendly, I mean it portrays women in a more positive light.

And Thursday is almost here. C'mon baby GG! You want to cook more!

Great job mama....my advice is to order ever little thing you can with each meal....puddings, salads, yogurts etc.....it made me feel vindicated ; )

@Mrs. Jacks: The stupid hospital counting system won't give it to me until Friday. But I'll still feel good on Thursday too.
The air mattress is changing my (new) life!
So my contractions seem to be worst when DH is here in the evenings (by worst, I mean most frequent, not any stronger). This stresses him out and then stresses me out even more! I asked if talking about stressful stuff like how much attention the dog is getting (yes that's one of my biggest stressors right now) could increase them, but they said it would be more likely that I actually had to go to the bathroom : ).
My ultrasound yesterday showed no major cause for bleeding which I probably already told you so overall, I'm a "boring" patient. I had traces of bleeding yesterday, but not enough to worry anyone. Contractions were pretty consistent at 6 an hour yesterday which is more than the day before (so they upped my magnesium to 1.75) but overnight they were calmer and so far this morning too I think.
I've got a full slate of visitors today...I'm almost worried about it! The first is the sub who is taking over for me. I've met him because he taught a conference I attended, but he won't know me. I'm really hoping I can have someone find my bra before he gets here.

Relax as much as you can, lady! Hopefully the visitors make the day go by fast

Poor you! Glad you are mostly feeling okay and hopefully all is well by Friday.

@Mrs Green Grass: I'm so sorry that you're on bed rest and in the hospital right now. The last thing you need is any additional stress!
But I did find your last line hilarious, "I hope someone can find my bra for me before he gets here..."

@2PeasinaPod: We had to unhook the IV, but I DID wear my bra. My mom had stuffed the bag of clothes way into the farther corner of the room, but the nurse was nice enough to get it for me. : )

Hope things are still going okay for you and you aren't too bored yet!

Ask your mom or DH to bring you a strapless bra next time - that way, you won't have to unhook the IV to put the girls back in their place!
Glad things are still staying steady!

@Mrs Green Grass: @winniebee: I was just looking for your post and going to ask the same thing! Do you have any good magazines or books to read? How are the overnight arm sticks going? Do you have any fave nurses yet?
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
Glad to hear you have a line up of visitors today! Make sure you get lots of rest though and dont' over due it! You want that baby to keep cooking!

Should I just make new threads or continue on here...let me know your preference.
DAY 5 UPDATE:
I'm only getting stuck twice a day 6 and 6 - sooo much better.
I'm still have small evidence of bleeding; mucusy/red - mostly only when I wipe and not all day.
Contractions seem to be greater in the evening 6-7 hr.
Today has been 3/hr most of day.
I've never had a repeat nurse since this ward is pretty big, but I definitely judge them on a few factors!
I started steroids today in case I have to deliver soon. (WILL NOT HAPPEN!) It's 2 butt shots. OW.
Otherwise, it's really wait it out until this weekend and then consider switching to orals, then watching more. They would probably want me calm for a week before they'd let me leave. But I'm not real concerned with leaving, just not delivering.
I love you all : )

@krsmall: No...and it was at 6am. It hurt quite a bit right then and for about 10 or 15, then i was fine. I only have to get 2 so I think i can stand it.
