Do you have any right now?
We are dealing with some disgusting pantry moths that invaded my grains. I threw out a lot of stuff...
We always had pesky ants when I was growing up!

DH got home today and found a squirrel staring at him through the fireplace glass in our den! Ahhh! He ended up catching it in a net and taking it outside... and now he gets to go up and try to fix the chimney tomorrow.

@pinkcupcake: we have had mice too! The house across the street was abandoned for awhile and demolished a few months ago and we think they were driven from that house into ours. They are so vile.

@Pancakes: I HATE THEM SO MUCH. we set up traps everywhere and every so often we will catch a tiny one, but it's so hit or miss. Damn sneaky little buggers. Argh.

We have a Terminix guy come regularly and we have a mosquito zapper thing on our patio. And DH is forever running around with a can of Raid. We live near agriculture and wetlands so lots of rats and mice in the area, plus so many mosquitoes and spiders!!! At least we have a healthy predator population - lots of owls and hawks and Falcons around except sometimes they drop dead birds in the yard!!! We have fruit trees too so the birds are always living it up and squawking in the summer. Ugh. I can't handle household pests!
We've avoided ants and pantry moths at our new house so far but having a chest freezer to store things in helps too.

@pinkcupcake: That happened to a co-worker of mine. She borrowed a friend's cat for a few days and the mice cleared out. Even after the cat lefy, the smell kept them away.

@ShootingStar: if I wasn't deathly allergic to cats, I would seriously consider borrowing one from a friend I'm so grossed out by this...

@pinkcupcake: we have a cat and the mice in our attic don't seem to care I put some of her used cat litter up there too.

Our house has a major sugar ant problem, but we seem to finally have it mostly under control after living here for nearly a year. Darn things drive me crazy.

Just outdoor pests! My MIL has been catching (and releasing to another location) racoons so they've stopped bugging us so much but my husband's uncles extremely well behaved dog decided that she would make up for the missing racoons and ransacked our trash tonight. I'm looking forward to cleaning it up with morning sickness tomorrow.

@MrsSRS: Borax! We tried keeping the kitchen super clean, the little plastic ant poison things, bug spray, vinegar, bleach, all to no avail. But borax worked.
Buy a box of borax, you can find it in the laundry aisle. Mix borax with powdered sugar, in equal parts, add a dash of water to make a thin paste. Spread it on little squares of cardboard, and place near entrances, where you see ants, etc.
