No, I'm not pregnant. But I have been thinking about how I will tell DH when I am. I think it will depend on if he's home or not when I POAS. If he is home, I probably wouldn't be able to hold it in. But if he's at work... I'd have time to set it up!

I got him a card to open when he walked in after work... I think it was a thank you card or something... but anyway I signed it from baby. He was very underwhelmed, but when she was born he was super excited.

The first time, he was in bed and I threw open the bathroom door and told him. The second time, he was coming off nights and I called him on his way home and told him. He works out of town.

Both times I tested very very early in the AM. The first time I crawled into bed and woke him up and told him. The second time I had been sitting in the bathroom having a mini-panic attack for several minutes. He woke up having to pee and I had been in there long enough that he thought I was pooping so he went to the other bathroom, and when he came back to bed I was sitting waiting for him and shoved my pee stick in his face.

I always thought I would do something fun and cute. However, when the time came, I literally threw the test at him. I didn't even put the cover on the pee stick.
He was eating a muffin at the time (didn't know I was testing) and the pee stick hit his muffin. I threw the test at him, screamed "It's positive! I'm pregnant!" Immediately followed by, "Don't eat that muffin! It has my pee on it now!"
So romantic.

I waited until Saturday, did the early morning pee thing with him. I knew by Wednesday night, Thursday morning officially that I was pregnant. I played it off on Saturday like I didn't know. He knew my ruse was a ruse though.

I also always thought I would do something cute. Instead, I just went back in our room (I tested right after we both woke up in the morning) and said, "Are you awake?! I'm pregnant." We were both incredibly shocked.

I wasn't expecting to be pregnant so took a test while he was at work to rule it out since I had a doctor's appointment that afternoon. I took the test and freaked etc. Then I texted him saying "text me when you're finished work, I need you to get me something from the supermarket" - which was his first clue. Of course that day he finished late so didn't have time to go to the supermarket so when he came inside I blurted out "i took a test and it was positive, so at the doctor's this afternoon I'll need to get it confirmed" . He didn't seem terribly excited at first. Gonna try do something a bit better next time

He was at work and I knew I couldn't wait until he got home so I told him I had to fax something (i work from home and sometimes have to fax stuff from his office) and would meet him at work with lunch. At that time I was just too excited and hadn't thought out my plan beyond that. So I picked up a Mighty Kids Meal at McDonalds for him and put the test in there (in a ziplock!) as his "prize". We went to a park for lunch and i played it cool and handed him the bag. He grumbled a bit that it wasnt much food but then openened it and was totally surprised!

I tested super early when we had company visiting and couldn't believe it was positive.... So I dragged him into the bathroom and kissed him with my mouth guard in and morning breath waving a pee stick at him. Super classy ha!!

The first time, it was Father's Day weekend and I got him a cute card and wrote that he was going to be a Daddy. I planned it out and managed to wait until that night to tell him. Unfortunately, I miscarried and it took 7 more months to get pregnant. This time, I couldn't hold it in, so I turned on the lights at 5:30 am and shoved the stick in his face

He was in the living room watching tv. I was only 8dpo so I thought for sure it would be negative. As soon as I saw the second line I ran into the leaving room screaming! And then I felt like a biatch because he cried and I didn't!!

I always thought I'd do something cute, too. But I woke up one morning and *knew* I was pregnant. So I took the test while he was walking the dogs before work. He came inside and I was in the bathroom in complete shock. He was thrilled, which was awesome since it was definitely not planned!

Baby #1 - he told me.
Baby #2 - I tested while he was at work since I *knew* I wasn't pregnant but had to rule it out since I was five days late. Jokes on me, I have no idea when I ovulate. When he came home from work (he just worked a couple hours on a Saturday) I asked if he wanted to go to the local Mexican joint (where we celebrated baby #1) then I gave him the pee stick and immediately sat down since I hadn't stopped shaking in two hours. Then he made me go test again. Haha.
I wish I had a better way to tell him but I was in serious shock and confusion.

DH wasn't the first to know with DD (first pregnancy) I was gmail chatting with my best friend. I peed on it WRONG and nothing happened, so she had me pee on it again and it showed positive. She knew before DH! I don't remember how I told him, but it was probably over the phone.
With DS, (second pregnancy) I had a feeling I was pregnant and had bought the store brand pregnancy tests, and we stared at that sucker for so long! We couldn't figure out if it was saying I was or wasn't pregnant. DH was so mad at me for not buying the name brand. He was like "Of all the things in the world to go cheap on, a pregnancy test isn't one of them!" Well, that faint line turned into a real line and badda bing nine months later a chubby little boy!

We were visiting my grandmother, and every morning I couldn't sleep past 6 AM in the excitement of testing. The day I got the BFP I ran an "errand" to the grocery store and picked up a little onesie. I wrapped the positive test and the onesie in an empty shoebox I found lying around the house and told DH that while I was at the grocery (it was one of the those mega grocery/home goods/clothing things) I found some shoes on sale I thought he'd like. He opened up the box to find the onesie and the test. He was so confused--the line was so faint he thought I was giving him a negative test! When I explained that it was positive his eyes welled up and we had to hold it together while we ate lunch with my grandmother, all the while looking at each other with wide eyes. It was surreal!

For Baby 1- I was ugly crying when he got home from work. It was a whoops pregnancy and we were only engaged and I wasn't sure how he would react.
For Baby 2- he was there when I tested!

We both looked at the stick at the same time. We didn't really say anything (I think it was shock) and then I took an all-day nap.

He was home. It was super faint and I was shoving it in his face asking if he could see a line too.

I wasn't expecting to be pregnant at all and secretly took a test just to rule it out. Well, when those two lines showed up i screamed "holy *%#£!!!!", which caused DH to run into the bathroom because he thought something was wrong. I threw the stick at him and was then rendered speechless.
Next time will be better!!

I proposed to him.
I nonchalantly asked him if he wanted to go out for awhile to get away from our house guests, and went to the lake where he proposed to me.
We walked out to the same spot where he proposed and as we were reminiscing about the engagement, I dropped to one knee and opened a little box to reveal the positive test and asked "Will you be a daddy?"He may have cried.

My husband asked me when the last time I had my period was, and since I had no idea... I thought maybe I should POAS. He knew it was positive based on the look of disbelief on my face! We had been trying for a baby, but I had no idea it would happen so fast for us!

The first time, he was in the next room. The second time, I was in Chicago and called him. This time, I texted him, lol. I wasn't expecting a positive test and he was at a dr's appt. I was wigging out and couldn't wait, so I texted him in case he could see his phone, but not answer it. I had to wait for his appt to be over--an entire hour! It was a hot mess, LOL

I took the test like 5 mins before he got home from work so I put it in a ziploc and threw it in his face when he walked in the door. Very romantic

I tested while he was out fishing on a whim, I totally was not expecting a BFP. I had to go grocery shopping, so while I was out I picked up one of those Baby on Board signs and taped it in the shower because I knew he would go straight for the shower when he got home. He did.
I swear it took him like 5 minutes to notice it, I was standing outside the bathroom door with the test and he came running out yelling my name and slammed into me stark naked with shampoo in his hair and yelled "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" and then kissed me and got back in the shower haha.

Haha it wasn't all that creative. We were about to go meet our friends for a showing of Rocky Horror, so i was in a slutty nurse's outfit (I knoww) and while we were watching TV I saw a baby commercial and just had a hunch... So I go POAS and there's this squinter of a line! I go out to the living room and "uhh babe? Is this a line??" And he goes WHITE. hahaha. And then we had to leave for our show and pretend nothing was happening! It was so hard!!! I came back home and POAS-ed on like 8 more...

I was charting so at 8DPO when my temp shot up I tested with a FRER and got a squinter that at 5am I basically shoved under DH's nose and said "We're having a baby!' His response was "I don't see anything"
What a story huh lol

I got a faint positive at 8dpo, and spent the rest of the night freaking out. Then the next morning, I woke up at 4:30 (after tossing and turning for hours) to pee on a FRER and it was positive in less than a minute. I let him sleep until 4:45, and then I woke him up. We both kind of laid there in shock.

I shouted for him to 'come look!' because I couldn't believe it. Then he didn't believe it, so I tested 2 more times, and we ended up on our back deck so we could get natural light, he thought it was a trick of the light.

DH was still sleeping, so I crept into bed with the pee stick and a onesie from his university and said I had a gift for him. He sleepily said, "Socks?" He eventually got it! lol He claims I was bouncing and yelling, which I definitely wasn't.

He was there was I POAS. I peed on it, left the bathroom and we both went in there together 5 minutes later and saw 2 pink lines!

I wanted to do some cute meal of "baby" sized foods, but I sort of just told him because he already knew. I had mentioned earlier that my breasts were tender and he said I was pregnant. It was the day AF was expected so I didn't really think much of it, but thought I would POAS just in case. Sure enough he was right and I got a BFP! We went out and got digital tests together after I told him to confirm.
Next time around I want to do it completely differently if I can stand to keep my mouth shut. I think I want to order DS a shirt from etsy that says something about "big brother" and the month/season I would be due. But I'm not sure I could keep it from DH long enough for the shirt to come haha.

Three days after I should have gotten my period I gchatted him that when he got home I was taking a test. So I was in the bathroom with the door open (so romantic we are) while he changed out of his work clothes. The lines went dark immediately and I started squealing. He took a photo of the stick and calmly said we'd test again in exactly a week (I wanted to pee on all the sticks right then, but he's more rational). I did the second one a week later myself.

i was in the emergency room for a non-pregnancy related reason, and they did a blood test to check if i was pregnant (since we had been trying). i was actually going to take a home pregnancy test a few days later.
so my DH and i were both sitting there when a doctor came in and said, "i'm confused, so did you not know you were pregnant when you came in today?" and that's how we found out!

He knew I was testing, cause I had been saying the whole tww that "i just knew I was pregnant"...but I was out of town with my parents for the last 10 days of the tww, so we were both anxious for me to get home and test. As soon as I took the test and the line came up, I shouted, "I knew it!" and he was happy, lol.

We were both working overnights. I went and puked at the very start of the night (not the first time) & finally went to buy a preggo test. Went home sick, took it, and when it turned positive I texted him a photo. At 5am I went and got him on his break and basically threw it at him while we discussed what the eff to do now (we weren't particularly trying).
Next time I'll probably dress LO in a big brother shirt & let him notice.
