It was bad for 4-5 days. She took longer to fall asleep and she woke up crying a few times after we moved to our new house.

We moved DD to a new room with new furniture (toddler bed, etc...) at 18 months. We decorated the room and surprised her with it on Christmas, so she was very excited! We actually have a video of her jumping up and down and screaming. On Christmas Day, we had her nap in her new bed/room, and her naps were a little short. So that night, we put her to bed in the old room/crib. But the next day she napped and slept there for nighttime, and we never had another issue.

I have experience with this and I don't. We moved when H was 13 months so not only did he need to adjust to a new room, he had to adjust to a whole new house. He went from being confined to two rooms to having the run of the place. Sleep was rough for a week - he went from STTN to one or two wake ups a night but that was also probably because of Em.

We're hoping to move upstairs by the end of the month so we'll be moving his room but keeping downstairs the same. I'm hoping that will make the transition okay - at least we aren't moving house or adding another baby!

Well, we just completely moved to a new house, and LO didn't care one bit -- he's been sleeping and napping like usual. Basically we just kept his routine as similar as possible, but I credit it just as much to temperament. We did make a conscious decision to put off his transition to a bed until after we've been in the new place awhile. I'm hoping to do that in August, which will give him some time to adjust before new baby arrives in October.
