Right now my LO is in the room right across from mine. We want the new baby to take over that room because it's just more convenient to have the baby closer for all of the late night feedings. My parents did that with us... each new baby got the room right next to theirs and the sibling moved down the hall.
I'm just worried about how LO will take this. She's very into routine. If you leave something out of place, like a wipe on the changing table instead of putting it away, she cries. Hard. My mom literally did just that and LO was bawling until I went in there and showed her what was wrong.
So yes, I'm worried about moving rooms. Also, we will be putting LO in a toddler bed a few months before we move her room, and she'll obviously have a new baby sibling. So that's a lot of change in general for a little one.
How did your toddler deal with moving rooms?
On Christmas Day, we had her nap in her new bed/room, and her naps were a little short. So that night, we put her to bed in the old room/crib. But the next day she napped and slept there for nighttime, and we never had another issue.
