You DEFINITELY should move!

I feel fan-freaking-tastic about my work status at the moment. I'm about to head home, work one day from home tomorrow, and then begin my six months of maternity leave. Feels like the last day of school, woohoo! (Okay not that exciting, it's mostly unpaid. Still though).

I'm pretty happy with it. I work 24 hours (2 loooong days) a week. I would definitely change my commute if I could though. The commute adds 3 hours round trip. That means more pumping for me too

All in all though I feel very lucky to have a job that I love and still be able to spend 5 days out of the week home with my kids.

I like working from home. I hate my job.

I think working makes me a better mom but I do not enjoy working 2 different pt jobs mainly from home. Everything feels so fractured and it's very isolating. I never see co-workers (and don't really have any other than my supervisors who I see biweekly at most in short exchanges). I also am passionate about working with children but I barely see any other than my own. I start a new woh job and leave my other 2 in may and i'm so excited for co workers and so much more interaction with kids!

mixed feelings right now because of no childcare, but that changes next week, so i'm looking forward to getting my business back on track! (WAH for my own photography business)

I love my job. Didnt realize just how much until I had to go out of work 2 months early. I work pt about 15 mins commute. Childcare is grandma at our house so life is so much easier because when I wake up we spend time together and when I get home from work its barely 4pm. Gives us plenty of time together.

I SAH right now for the first time and I am loving it. We moved across the country recently for DH's job (and to be closer to my family) and I had to leave my amazing job. I only worked 2 days a week before, but even so being a full time SAHM has been an adjustment. DH really wants me to start working again soon though, even just one day a week would help our budget.

Eh. The good part about work is that its quite flexible and close to home (20 min). I can't work from home that much but the occasionally is ok, and I don't have to use PTO as long as I come into the office for any amount of time.

The bad is that in my heart I wish I can SAH!

I love my job but not even because of what I do but because of the flexibility, I come and go as I please and Im off every Friday which helps me keep a good balance of work and family. The salary for those additional hours just isn't worth it to me.

My job is very demanding & I have a 3hr waste-of-my-life commute each day as well. I can't wait to be a SAHM (I hope!). I'm exhausted.

I am a SAH and I think it's time to get back to work so I am in the process of starting my own business but it's slow going.

I couldn't handle 3 hours of travel and I would move!

I like my full time WOH job. Its really demanding and often stressful but I like the challenge. But, like you, my commute is slowing killing me. My office is 25 miles away on a,very busy, frequently stand-still stretch of motorway. Before I can even start my commute, though, I have to drive across the city to drop LO at my inlaws'. That adds 40 mins to my journey every day. It frequently takes me 2 hrs in the morning and 1.5 hrs on the way home. Add to that the fact that there are roadworks on every corner right now and my usual motorway slip road is closed for the next YEAR - agh!

I love my job, we had a meeting yesterday and I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. My coworkers are seriously great.

Right now, my job checks off all the boxes so I keep at it: good salary, good coworkers, good job function.

I wish my commute was shorter, and I wish my salary was higher, but I love being a WOHM. I enjoy my job and I'm close friends with several of my coworkers out of work, so I usually have fun at work. Evenings can be tough because I do them alone most nights after a full day of work, but I still think I'm a better, more patient and present mom to Evan than I was when I was a SAHM. And much happier.

I just started a new job and so far I really like the team and the work. The commute is a little worse than my old job and the hours are a little more irregular, so I am sad about missing out on some time with LO but all in all I think it was a good decision, especially since the pay is better which helps me worry a little less about money.

I enjoy being a WOHM for the most part. I do wish I could SAH or work PT, but in order for that to happen, a lot of things would have to change. I'm currently searching for another job.

I've been on mat. leave since December and I am ready to go back to work. I can stay off until December but am not sure if I will.

I love being home with A but very much miss my job.

I feel torn. I had to quit my job since I didn't have paid mat leave and I wanted to take more than 3 months. But now I wish I had kept it and gone back after 3 months even though it was unpaid. I was undoubtedly ready for work again at 3 months.
But now that my son is 6 months and fun to be with, and summer is just around the corner, it's hard to get motivated, even though I ultimately want to be working. I've given myself a deadline of LO's first birthday. It'll be September so summer will be over and I think 1 year will have given me plenty of time to be with him, but it's not too long to be out of the game for work. I can easily explain it on interviews and it won't seem unreasonable. I also work in the realm of technology so I feel like taking off too much time could set me back too far.

I love being a full-time WOHM. I wouldn't last 2 weeks as a SAHM, even though many of my friends and family are great SAHMs. My job is pretty great for working parents, and my boss too.

I love my job and my commute. When DH and I were looking for a house, we first looked out in the suburbs but decided to sacrifice space for commute and I'm so glad we did it. I have about a 30 min walking commute, which includes dropping off LO at daycare on the way.
