I had what may have been the most disgusting display of price gouging and terrible customer service that I've ever experienced with a hotel this weekend. I'm pissed off enough that I want to complain to as many outlets as possible. It seems that Choice Hotels owns the hotel name, but each hotel is independently operated. I'm thinking I should write letters to both. I'm also planning on posting reviews everywhere I can.

I may do a little more research and if it seems founded, I may do a claim to the BBB. Any other suggestions for ways to handle this? I've never made a formal complaint about a company before. Do I sound unreasonable?
