I know all babies are different but just curious... How long did your LO fit in newborn sizes? Were there any sizes they just blew through or almost skipped over?

2 weeks for LO 1 and one month for LO 2.

I can't remember exactly but I just know it felt like she was in NB a lot longer than I thought, maybe from 0-3 months, then she went into 0-3 months clothing at 3 months.

LO was only 6lb 9oz at birth, so a couple months depending on the clothing item? I've learned the hard way that no two same sized items are actually the same size in baby clothes world
Newborn stuff fit him best in the early weeks, but he also fit into quite a few 0-3 month pieces.

Lo was very small (she didn't hit 8 lbs until about 2.5 months) so at least 3 months I think

DD1 skipped newborn.
DD2 wore nb for a week. -
DS skipped newborn.
DD has been wearing it for 5 weeks now and is growing out of it. -

Born at 7lb9oz and fit into newborn for a month.

Depends on how much the baby weighs and how quickly they gain weight. My first was in newborn sizes for three months. My second weighed (at birth) the same as E when he was 2 months old! So, no newborn sizes for him at all.

2.5 months I think? She was 5 lbs 8 oz at birth though...

Barely 2 weeks. He was almost 9 lbs at birth.

Ds was an 8 lb 11 oz baby and he wore them for a month! I had to run out and buy nb sized onesies because we didn't have very much!

He was wearing some things really often, and they turned out to be very stretchy, and they kind of grew with him.

3-4 weeks. We were gifted lots of 0-6months and pretty much skipped over the 9 month size. By 6 months he needed 12 month sizes for the length.

Maaaaybe 2 weeks? Both my girls were tall and grew fast!

About a month. He was 8 lbs 5oz at birth, so he wasn't tiny, either!

My LO was 9lb,14 oz at birth, so never fit into newborn size. Thankfully I was given lots of mom advice to stock up on 0-3 months and only had 2 NB outfits.
Worked our way through the sizes pretty much on target month-wise, but he skipped straight from 6 months to 12 month clothing. Never wore 9 months! We've been in 18 month clothing since 11 months old (now 14 months).

She was born at 8lbs 3oz, but lost more than she should have her first week she was smaller than that for a while. She ended up wearing a lot of her newborn stuff for 6-8 weeks which was longer than I expected.

Depending on the brand, she outgrew NB between in between 3 and 4 weeks. For reference, she was 7 pounds 13 oz and 19 inches when she was born.

She was 8 lbs 11 oz, 22" at birth and wore NB for maybe a month?

About 2 weeks for DS, not at all for DD (I did put her in 1 newborn outfit one time but she looked like a sausage in a casing)

Only a couple nb things ever fit. Nothing from carters for sure, those run small. But #2 was born 9 13 so ... Not a newborn! Ha. #1 was 8 9 and wore a few brands in nb for about 3 weeks.

DS1 - never, he was over 10 pounds
DS2 - about 2-3 weeksBoth my boys zoomed through all the sizes. My 9 month old is growing out of 12-18 and fitting in 18-24.

I think it's funny so many people's babies that were 8-9kb skipped newborn. DS was 8lb 5.5oz and he wore NB for close to six weeks. I know he was 10lb at 1m and still wearing it. 0-3m stuff seemed to swim on him those first few weeks.

@ShootingStar: my LO was 8.4lbs and fit in them. But after 3-4 weeks the length was the issue but she still had plenty of room otherwise.

@LindsayInNY: DD was 6 lbs 4 oz when born.. She was in nb till prob 7-8 weeks and she was prob 9+ lbs.

@snowjewelz: Would she have fit into 0-3 then? I know there's a lot of factors that play in, I just wanna make sure I have enough of the right sizes!
