And did you go up any additional cup sizes after (if you breastfed?)
I was a 32B and now am wearing a 34C (just shy of 12 weeks). I don't know if this means I've gone up 2 cup sizes, or 1, but either way, I'm not prepared to go up any more!!

With my first child I went up 1 cup size and 2 band sizes. Now with my second pregnancy I have already had to go up a cup size and I am only 7 weeks...

32b to 34c is 1 cup size (b to c) and a band size (32in to 34in)
With DS I don't think I could even keep up with my growth. I was a 34b pre-pregnancy and by the end I was falling out of a DD (before I knew about larger bras) And then after my milk came in I could see those suckers sitting up under my chin. It was insane!
After I stopped bf (for the first 6wks) I went back down to my pre-pregnancy size but they were definitely not as nice or perky. sigh.
This go round I've gone up 1 cup size and 1 band size and I'm 19 weeks. It's been a much nicer progression =)

I'm only 4 weeks and my "cups runneth over"-- I'm currently a G and I have quad-boobs with the bras I'm wearing. WAAAAHHHH.

I only went from a 36D to a 38D! I did switch to really stretchy maternity and nursing bras from my structured bras, though.

I have no idea yet but I do know that dh came into the bedroom last night while I was getting ready for bed and said, "HOLY COW your boobs are HUGE!" *cough* They're definitely filling out my cups better...I'm getting close to running over, though.

I started at a 38D and now I'm 40E. I'm only 9 weeks and therefore terrified of what's coming next. My husband is so impressed by them it's quite funny.

In the first trimester, I went from a 34B to a 36C. Then, after my milk came in, I went up to a 36D.

@JUNEBUGMAMA: Oh no.... I'm not pg yet... but TTC and the same bra size as you....that is one of my biggest fears...how big are these suckers gonna get....lol

I went up the same band and cup size like you. It remained the same my whole pregnancy and now after EBFing for almost 7 months I think they are starting to go down in size again.

this thread is making me scared to death. I'm currently a 36C - though from a family of DDs (no one knows how I escaped that curse).

So far.... 2. 34C to 34DD. They are still going, too. I need new bras again. :\

Victoria's Secret is going to make a goldmine off of me - already got 2 new bras and HOPING to stay in them the rest of the pregnancy, though I think I may already getting double boob action in one boob. Oh, and obviously have had to size up on underwear too : / Now THAT better remain the same for the next 6 months!

Pre-pregnancy I was a 32DD. By the end of 3rd trimester, I was a 36F. DS is currently 7 months old, and the bra I bought yesterday was a freaking 32H. I may have lost the baby bump, but I still can't see my toes when I look down...

I'm up a cup size to a C, and I'm not yet 5 weeks! I went to Victoria's Secret, but after fully filling out a C cup, I decided to wait a few weeks in case they keep growing. Jeez!

One cup size & one band size from a 34 A to a 36 B. I might be an odd one, but I am not a fan of bigger boobs. I want my small boobs back.
honeydew / 7968 posts
so far, my boobs look a lot fuller, but it's still an a. i could probably fit into a b, but so far, haven't needed to try. =( i would love bigger boobs but i hear it always goes back, so....

I was a 34 C before getting pregnant, quickly moved into a 34 D and now at 19 weeks I need to go up again to a 34 DD.

I'm 32A cup here and not pregnant yet. I'm kinda looking forward to the change in size. Is that bad? I would never get a boob job but the change is size might be a nice for a little while.

I'm a 36F, currently 18weeks and so far it seems like they haven't grown. But the band is getting a little tight so I am going to get some bra extenders. I'm hoping to make the bras I have last until I need to get nursing bras. I'm so scared of what size I am going to need!

I started as a 34 a/b during pregnancy went up to a full 34C and now breastfeeding I am a 34D...if they are really full I could probably go to a DD

I'm normally a full B or small C, and with both pregnancies I went up to D by the time of delivery. My breasts swelled even more to DD/E-cups by the time my milk came in!

I was a solid 34B...Now, 3 months post partum and breastfeeding, I'm a 38C.

I am 14 weeks now, and pre-pregnancy was a 36F, that has stayed consistant thus far, and I hoping they don't feel the need to get any bigger until my milk comes in.
pomegranate / 3388 posts
I was and still am a 32 A/B. I would really like to go up a cup size at least, but so far at 19 weeks I've got nothing.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
So question... what did you all do about bras? Did you have to keep buying a bigger bras? Or did you buy a nursing bra? How long were you at a size for before you grew bigger... a week, a couple weeks, a month?
pear / 1837 posts
I bought new bras at Target during pregnancy, and that worked well. I pretty much wore the same two Target bras for the latter half of my pregnancy, and they were $15/each, so no big investment. For the first few weeks postpartum, I pretty much wore cheap sports-bra-like nursing bras around the house, and then once I thought my milk supply had more or less stabilized, I sprung for nicer nursing bras that I've been using since.

@ Good question blustripedbee - I'd like to know! I had some double boob action going for awhile and I just got new bras last week - from 32B to 34C. I hope they last until delivery. Will probably get some nursing bras for post-delivery.

Prepregnancy I was a 34B and then turned into 34C. After my milk came in, I was a 36C. Not a huge change but it was still nice while it lasted!

With DS I went up over 3 cup sizes. I have only gone up one so far this time.

I'm currently 13 weeks and have gone from a 34B to a 36C, I hope they stop there as I hate having bigger boobs!
As for bras, I just got some at Kohls that are new apparently and have a special type of elastic that can cover a variety of sizes. I bought a medium which covers 32D, 34C, 34D, 36B, 36C, and 38B. It was about $20 and right now they fit perfectly on the second smallest setting with a fair bit of room to grow before getting to the largest setting. I'm hoping they last me throughout pregnancy!

3 inches. I am HUGE and hideous. Seriously my boobs are not only bigger than baby, but they will be bigger than baby's head when he (she?) is born.
And I'm only 18 weeks, and from what my mom and her sisters said it's only going to get worse.
(30E to 30G/H or 32DDD)

I was a 32D pre pregnancy. I went through several sets of bras during pregnancy and ended up at a 34DD. After my milk came in I was into a 32E and am still there 7.5 months later!

I started out pre-pregnancy as a 32D. By 16 weeks I was in a 34DD because my rib cage had expanded so much, but now I am 21 weeks (almost 22) and desperately needing a 34E /36DD or bigger. EEK!
nectarine / 2039 posts
I am totally in bra-change denial. I keep favouring one of my bras that I think is just naturally accommodating. Got a good look at myself in the mirror with one of my other bras on this weekend and I think I had more boob outside of the bra than inside (including under my armpits!). I'm so cheap though so I've been just slapping on a tank top overtop to smooth things out and hoping for the best.
Time to go bra shopping?
But I am wondering if I should just go for nursing bras? (only at 22 weeks here) I like to buy high quality bras and not have very many, but I can't afford a new set of expensive bras for 4 months of wear.
pear / 1723 posts
At 11 weeks, the girls have definitely gotten a little bigger, but not enough to need new bras. Probably because I didn't fill out my 34B bras particularly well pre-pregnancy. I'm actually kind of hoping they take a growth spurt eventually
