Just something I'm curious about after my long long job search. I kept saying I wanted a real 40 hour a week job. Which is like, impossible to find in my field. And it was so frustrating to me that this sort of job didn't seem to exist in law. Some of my lawyer friends told me that basically NO ONE only spends 40 hours/week in office anymore, it just isn't done in America. But I know that isn't true because my husband works an honest-to-god 9-5 job. In corporate America. At a relatively high level.
I'm just curious how common this is in America anymore (if you're a non-American bee, feel free to comment but please don't vote in the poll because I want the poll to be the American working moms numbers).
So. If you work "full time," how many hours do you spend per week in the office. If you work 8.5 hours and take a 30 min lunch, you are still in the office 8.5 hours so say 8.5 hours. Also feel free to share what you do.
