I'm curious. When I made up the list, we have 75 people! We definitely need to cut that back because I hear it's going to cost $20 pp at the venue my sister are planning.
We've told them that we don't mind cutting costs by having it at a fire hall. Whatever is cheaper is fine by us.

I think there were about 50 or so - but not everyone is able to come so that cuts it down a bit right there. Maybe 12-15 of those invited couldn't make it.

I'm having multiple showers since we have family in two different states plus my work will throw me one as well. I'm not sure how many people will show up at the work shower since the whole company is invited but for my family and friends it will be 35 at one and 38 at another on the invite list so right at 73 for me. Of course like PP said not everyone will come.

@fancyfunction: @pinkarmadillo: Yeah, I'm thinking that 25-30% of the invitees won't make it. Plus, some are out of state and probably won't be able to make the trip.

25 for my first shower. It was my host's first time doing any type of party so I wanted to make sure she was comfortable so we agreed it was a good number. My second shower was about the same, family only.

I think there were just under 30 guests at my shower w friends and family. There were 40 guests at mil's shower she threw for her and fil side of the family/friend

50 invites sent out and 60 people came (everyone said yes and some wanted to bring more people)
I'm having a smaller one this Saturday with about 28 people.

I had 18 people on the list and 15 people came.
I have never heard of such huge baby showers! It was just my sisters, close female family members, and close girlfriends for me.
For my second shower, technically my "sprinkle" for baby #2, it turned out to be bigger than my shower for #1! My mom and sisters threw it, and they invited all the out of town female cousins/aunts so it was more like a big family get together (20ish). Really fun!

Maybe about 20, and we didn't invite anyone we knew wouldn't be able to come. I was trying to keep costs as low as possible for the host.

We invited about 25, but lots are out of town. 11 adults expected and 4 kiddos for 15. Small but sweet (and we are shamelessly hoping for the out of towners to send gifts!

My first was probably 30 ladies, for this baby we have about 39 people, but that's spouses and children. We are keeping this one super small and casual.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I had a pretty conservative registry - I tried to only register for things we needed and I thought we would use. We still didn't get everything though we were able to complete it with gift cards and exchanges! We had a girl and knew the gender so a lot of folks just got us clothes or other girly items.

We invited about 70 and I think 64 came. My dad has 5 siblings and MIL has 6, so we have lots of aunts and cousins to invite.
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I want to say between target and babies r us, we had maybe 100ish gifts. I made sure we had a wide range for prices. I mainly put on there what we really wanted/needed. I assumed most people were going to go off registry(since that's what usually happens for baby showers), so I wanted to make sure that those that did follow it had choices, and it was things we actually needed. We were very surprised that we only had about 5 things total that weren't purchased off them.

my list and hubby's list was about 45, that didn't include my family, just DH's family and our friends. My guess is there will be about 80 invited, no kids. I'd love to have all the kids there but my sister made it clear no kids lol

Two showers, two lists of 30-ish people. But, there was some overlap (immediate family) so not sure the exact number.

Like 20 per shower, had two smaller ones. I don't love baby showers- I don't know why but having so much attention in my belly kind of freaked me out a little- so I'm kind of glad to be on #2 and not feeling the need to have one.
