@erinbaderin: same situation here. We don't buy stuff (other than clothes and a few new books) throughout the year, so Christmas is kind of a time for me to go a bit overboard. We bought DD (20 months) a play kitchen and a bunch of kitchen stuff from IKEA, plus some puzzles and books and other fun toys. lol. Way too much, but whatever!

$150 per kid. Well, plus stocking stuffers, so maybe really $175. Santa spends $75 and we spend $100.

I just bought something I SWORE I would never buy DD - a dollhouse (KidKraft from Target). My DH put the thought into my head last night when he said that it's her absolute favorite thing to play with at school and with this baby coming in February, I figured why the hell not. It should keep her busy playing and should fit in her new room. Target also had a great deal going on. So, I've spent way more than I planned, but only have one more small thing to buy her.

I usually shop with about $100 for LO's Christmas presents and get grandparents to help out for THE BIG GIFT but I have a serious problem this year... I keep buying for Christmas and giving it to her early!!! She already got at least 5 Christmas gift$ already! So yes, I guess Christmas started already. I worry about what I will have left to put under the tree.
