@littlek: 7 weeks?! Holy cow! I'd never be able to use all that!

4 weeks vacation plus 10 or so holidays (not sure exact amount). Also sick but I never take it and it doesn't roll over.

DH gets 4 weeks too, I believe, but has more holidays/personal/sick (not sure exact amount).

I accrue 9 hours of vacation time and 9 hours of sick time every month, and it all rolls over. Plus we have 12-14 holiday days a year (we get the week between Christmas and New Year's off, so it depends on when it falls in the week). DH gets 3 weeks vacation and 7 holidays I think.

@LindsayInNY: I'm sure I won't either. Public accounting is generous with saying you have lots of vacation days, TAKING them is a whole other story.

My company doesn't have an official PTO policy. They say you should take time off as you need it and assuming your responsibilities are covered. It sounds really nice, but personally I would rather have a set number of days for multiple reasons. I have been at my current job for over a year, and I have taken one full week (5 days) vacation and a couple other days off.

I get 0 since I'm paid hourly and work part time.

My DH gets 3 weeks plus holidays. The holidays include a week between Christmas and New Years. Next year he moves up to 4 weeks.

I get 6 weeks of PTO plus two floater days. That's it.

Oh, and Friday's off all summer.

I get 3 weeks vacation + 2 floater days and 2 personal days, all stat holidays and 40 sick days. I rarely use it all and almost always carry over 5ish vacation days.

I work at a small firm and there is no set vacation policy. Any vacation I take is paid. I can take whatever time off whenever time I want so long as there is time to do so. There's rarely time.

Holy crap! I did not realize people got this much vacation time!

I get 1 week and the major holidays off.

None. We own our own company.

Our employees get 2 weeks of paid vacation plus holidays, but one of those weeks is over Christmas/New Years (all the days inbetween that are not holidays).

They also have the option to work overtime for more vacation days.

We also let them take basically unlimited sick days (within reason).

Currently I'm a contractor (so I get paid hourly) but when I get hired on as a full employee my company is the same as @daniellemybelle: - no official limit to PTO. But I feel the same in that I kind of wish they'd cap it somewhere, since I don't want to be frowned on because what I think is appropriate is different from what they think is appropriate. I plan to take approximately 4-5 weeks/year. At my previous job I had 3 weeks (15 days) plus 3 floating holidays and 5 sick/personal days. So a total of 23 days/4.5 weeks vacation. Plus we had 10 paid holidays.

I get NO paid benefit time of any kind...all vacation, personal time and maternity leave is unpaid.

DH is up to 3 weeks paid vacation, plus he bought in on 2 extra weeks, so this year he has 5 weeks paid. He also get a full paid week of paternity leave and can take up to 12 weeks total off (I can only take 6 weeks).

I get about 23 days/year right now (and am accruing them even while on mat leave, woo!) and it increases about .75 days/year. Work shuts down for 5-7 days over Christmas and NYE depending on how it falls so I get that too. I do events too so get time back for them and usually end up with another 2-3w on top of my base vacay.

DH gets summers, school holidays (teacher).

    We've got it pretty good!

I get 30 days paid vacation, 6 months paid sick leave and 14 days public holidays. Maternity leave is 6 months, some full pay and some partial pay.

I earn 10 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick time every month. Both roll over up to a certain amount. I had to use everything I had saved for maternity leave, so now I only have 1 week of vacation and 1 week of sick time in the bank. We get all fed holidays and 7-10 days around Christmas/New Years.

No set amount of days but we are told to take off whatever is reasonable during our non-busy times + federal holidays.

I'm capped at 7 weeks (stopped accruing) + 10 holidays. But I have a minimum billable year so I generally end up taking about 3 weeks of vacation and sick time.

    23 days + 10 holidays

DH gets about 20 days + 12 holidays

It's nice to be able to coordinate our PTO time for family vacays and stuff!

i have 30 days annually to use at my discretion (thats sick pay, vacation, everything), an I can keep 5 of them to roll over to the next year. It's the maximum amount of vacation you can have in my company. Plus we have 10 or 11 paid holidays? the ones like Columbus Day, Presidents' Day... We can also volunteer on election day without using our time off.

I'm jealous of those of you who have 5+ weeks of vacation! I get 2 weeks paid vacation, and one is the week of the 4th of July. The other I use at my discretion. Plus unlimited paid sick days, and all federal holidays.
