9 months and 0 She says mama, dada, baba, etc. but she doesn't know what they mean so I don't count them.

9.5 months and 0! @lawbee11: E says baba and mumum but still no dada. Poor DH!

16 months and 3 words: uh-oh, book, mama. I thiiink she's starting to add 'dada' in there as well. If animal sounds count, there's another 2. She's a slow one!

1 year and 4 words
Daddy, Kitty, Doggy and EEEEEEEEEEEE which means eat.

She's almost 17 months and I can identify maybe 12-15 with some animal sounds thrown in. A lot of them sound the same though - bye bye, baa baa, Big Bird, bunny

LO is 18 months old and has about 40-50 words on his list. We've noticed a little bit of a language explosion the past few weeks which has been so much fun. His latest word is "outside," which is where he wants to go all the time
ETA: Of these, animal sounds make up about 20%!

20 months and she's at about 100 words.
E doesn't have any words yet

I think my LO had 6 words around 16 months. She had an explosion at 20 months and she talks at lot at 2.

It's hard to say exactly right now but at 1 year, 4 words - dog, mama, dada, go

14 months and 8 maybe. Mama, Dada, bye, hi, blue, turtle, thank you But I don't know for sure cause she doesn't talk for us only her teachers. We have heard mama, Dada, bye, hi, and turtle.

DS is 14 months, and he consistently says 5 words - mama, dada, hi, bye, and jelly. He can sign milk, more, and all done.

I haven't really counted but I would estimate that she has 40-50 words at 16 months.

11 months and three words: mama, kale ("ka!), and baaaahh (for a sheep!)

I think once they reach 100, that's when it really starts to take off. Charlie went from 100 to 200 and then we couldn't keep count. Olive's word gain was slower, but by the time they have about a 100 I think they have the capacity to learn a couple new words a day.

1 year: dada, banana, hi, dog, nurse, and More.
The only sign she knows is all done. And no mama yet

@Silva: uh-oh and book had priority over mama for my little one!! And the signs for all done, milk, more, again and eat. Priorities, that one!

23 months and too many to count. She is really verbal now and comes up with the most hilarious sayings. The other day in the car I sped up fast to merge onto the highway and from the backseat LO pipes up with "oh man; zoom!!! Hold on tight!" Lol

17 months and we don't keep track... but probably in the 30-50 range.

They're almost 18 months and DD has 10-15, and DS has MAYBE 2. I'm slightly worried. They do know signs, though, and can understand and follow one step directions!
