I think it's #150 on the SS list, which is much more popular than I prefer. But I don't know any Violets in real life. Do you know any?

I like Violet. It has a vintage feel to it, is common enough yet there shouldn't be 12 Violet's in your daughters class at school.

I know two little Violets. I think it's probably getting a little more popular with the old fashioned name trend, but won't ever be top 50 or anything.
And I really like it and suggested it for C, but Dh vetoed it since I already wear too much purple.

I know zero. It's the same thing with Theodore. It's in the 100's but we don't know a single one. If you love it, popularity should be less important. It's a beautiful name.

I don't know any but I see that name pop up all the time on the baby name boards on some pregnancy apps I use so It ifs picking up a lot of popularity it seems.

A friend named her daughter Violet and my SIL was settled on that if they had a girl. I also have a few acquaintances with daughters with that name.
I do think it's regional. I'm in the Philly area!

We considered that name. I think it's very sweet. I don't think of it as too popular, although there is one Violet in my daughter's daycare.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I don't know any personally. #150 wouldn't be very popular in my book. I just looked and it look like less than 0.2% of girls are named Violet.
