I'm on a local facebook swap page and today someone listed a Pottery Barn tv cabinet/armoire for $25. Cheap I know, and exactly what I've been looking for (and way way less than I expected to pay). There is 1 person ahead of me, so if I get to look at it is there a way to tell if it's really Pottery Barn vs. say Walmart or Target or... Ds's bed is PBK but I don't want to crawl under it to look for markings (yuck!).

I used to work at PB, and it's amazing what (junk) people will try to pass off as PB on craigslist or even to return to the store! That aside
In general, there are small rectangular white tags with black borders....some just have date codes, po numbers, some have Pottery Barn written out. The best indicator is typically just the quality though. Good hardware, good joints, good wood, etc.And really, if it's just what you're looking for, is in decent shape, and is $25, who cares if it's authentic?
I'd be more concerned if it was $$$$.
