OMG. That's a LOONNNG time! I got super fat and uncomfortable so we didn't have sex the last 2 weeks or so that I was pregnant + 6 weeks pp. So the longest we went without was 8 weeks (give or take a few days).

I was the opposite. I was 100% sex-crazed during second trimester and part of third.... I seriously now have a deep appreciation for what life must be like as a 15 year old boy. I was ready to go anytime, anyplace. I think if DH had been up for it we would have been talking like 6-8 times/day.

@blushink: That's very sucky. Have you talked to a doctor about it?

@blushink: Couldn't hurt to ask... hopefully they will know something that can help you!

I got the WORST cramps after having sex while pregnant so it never felt worth it afterwards.

We had awesome pregnant sex up until the last 2 weeks or so when I was too exhausted. It was definitely less frequent- we are normally 4 times a weekers, and during 3rd tri we were down to 1x/week,
We've already had sex once at 3.5 weeks post partum and I'm hoping we go back to our usual schedule soon

We don't bone as much as we used to (considering we met when I was 15/he was 17-- the boning frequency has definitely declined throughout the years). Before we conceived, I think we had sex about once a week (except the month we started "trying" and it was every other day).

I think we've had sex 2-3 times during the first trimester, and nothing since then (I'm 25 weeks now). Hubs is a little freaked out about it-- not about hurting me or the baby, but psychologically he sees me as a "mom to be" who is carrying his child and gets uncomfortable with me being a sexual person. Looks like I'll need to invest in a vibrator for the next 3 months!

@blushink: @His Barista: I want to know who came up with those ideas, too. Maybe the libido thing happens to women who have a good sex drive to begin with?

I'm only 17 weeks, but so far nothing's changed, except maybe that things are a little less...aggressive. We still go at it a couple times a week. Once early on DH commented that he hoped he wasn't disturbing the baby. I asked him if he wanted to cut down on sex, and his exact response was, "Let's not get crazy now."

DH is definitely not into pregnancy sex. We have had it on occasion but honestly have been having more oral sex than ever because DH is more comfortable with it. He says it has nothing to do with attraction but everything to do with her being "there" as he says and the thought of hurting her/me.

Girl, def talk to your doctor about sex being painful! I read an article that it is more common in women than people talk about. Also, are you more experimental with other ways besides penetration to be intimate?

@joyjoy: I haven't started to get that end of pregnancy tiredness yet. I feel energized! I am sure it will come soon though.

Our normal pre-pregnancy was about 3-4 times per week, during the 1st and 2nd that slowed down to once per week (I get awful cramping after orgasm so that kind of freaked both of us out).

Now that I am in the 3rd trimester we are about once every 1-2 weeks, it is just getting uncomfortable, and the baby moves and wiggles around the whole time, which I find extremely distracting, and not in a good way!
