Anyone deal with this? I’ve never had IBS symptoms before this pregnancy (#3) though I have had other digestive issues (colitis that resolved, a blockage involving hospitalization). I’m starting to think it may be IBS because in addition to fluctuating loose stools and constipation/extreme bloating/gas, there’s just a lot of pain. At first I thought it was all heartburn (started first tri, now 20w) but it seems beyond that. Both actual stomach pain that lingers, and intestinal cramping.

I know there’s probably not much to do during pregnancy, but what diet tricks helped? Fiber supplements? Any safe otc stuff? I’ve been taking gas-x some and already do Prevacid with tums as needed.

Also did it get better post pregnancy?
