Hi ladies!
Are you ready for February?
Any updates?
blogger / nectarine / 2010 posts
I'm not really excited for Feb. It's our snowy month, but we've already set records for January, so I'm scared for what Feb will bring. However, it's a big birthday month for us, so that should be fun.
I'm feeling some cramps. Pink Pad says af is two days late, but it feels like it's coming. Nothing exciting.
I hope you're all well!

@Mrs. Polish: Hey! Cramps and 2 days late could be a good thing! Do you think you'll test soon?
I'm looking forward to Feb just because it means one month closer to Spring And hoping I'll take a beach vacation at some point in Feb.
Update is that I'm on my way to the RE for my first ultrasound. Nervous and excited! Hopefully I'll have an even better update later

Still waiting on SA results for Hubs, and AF is (supposedly) due tomorrow. I won't test tomorrow but I will on Saturday per FF unless she decides to rear her ugly head.
I'm hoping Feb = good luck. My birthday, our first Valentine's Day without MIL in our house (not that's I'm big on VDay, but it will be nice), an interview on Monday Feb 3. FX for all!

Yeah, looking forward to February. Just moved into a house with a yard, so we got some unpacking to do but I'm glad I'm able to start the next chapter in our life in living in a house and having house-renting responsibilities. I'm excited about the change. We lived on the second floor for our apartment so I love not having to deal with stairs. Bringing groceries in last night was so awesome!
Updates for me, I had my day 13 ultrasound on Tuesday but follicles were a tad small so I'm going in today for day 15 ultrasound. Hopefully I'll trigger today and IUI tomorrow. DH dropped off a sample on Tuesday so his 'guys' are currently in the freezer as a backup, if he can't give a fresh sample for the IUI. I'm very excited about having a complete IUI finally!!! It's gonna happen with a fresh or thawed sample. Woohoo!!

First I want to apologize for not offering support lately. It's been hard for me to think about anything TTC related.
I'm really looking forward to February! We're starting the month with a vacation, then Valentine's Day, my mom is coming to visit for two weeks on the 20th, and we have the Walk of Hope on the 23rd.
I don't have any update really. I'm still debating on when I need to go back on the pill to get ready for our next FET. I'll admit, I'm terrified to do it again. I've only got one more shot at this because we have two embryos left.

@SweetiePie: good luck at your ultrasound! How exciting.
@bluestriped bee: yay for your IUI!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@babycanuck: Do you know when you'll have the results back?
Wow you have a big month coming up! Can't wait to see what February brings you!
@bluestriped bee: Yay for a frozen sample. Is that weird for me to say? Can't wait to hear how this IUI goes!
@Leialou: No apologies needed, ever! We all check in and out through this journey. You've had a rough month and I hope that whatever you decide brings you peace. It's gotta be hard to decide on timing for the last round. Whenever you decide, were all here rooting for you!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Leialou: Thank you and hugs about the thoughts of your next FET.
@SweetiePie: Haha. No, not weird. Yay for frozen sample, too!! Only you guys would understand. I'm sure my non-IF friends would think I was nuts, if I told them.

@SweetiePie: They said 4-10 days, I don't know if that's business days or just days. He had the test last Thursday. I called the dr's office and they don't have anything yet, but I'm not super stressed about it either.

Hi! I'm newish here. We've been trying since end of '12. My docs were quick to order up all the diagnostics, and we're just unexplained. I had 2 unmonitored cycles of Clomid with my OB, and moving on to a 3rd, higher dose, with Ovidrel and monitoring with the RE. I have an appointment tomorrow for baseline bloodwork and u/s and will be asking try do try IUI also.
blogger / nectarine / 2010 posts
@SweetiePie: I'm fairly sure these are period cramps. I've always had irregular cycles so I'm not looking into it. Also, I don't know how accurate pink pad is.
Good luck at your appt!

I can't believe it's almost February!! I'm gearing up to O sometime this weekend. Cheri22 said February is my month so I've been telling myself the same thing. "Positive thoughts bring positive results" right?!? Otherwise, my consult is scheduled, if necessary.
@Leialou: Going anywhere fun for vacation?!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
Ok, had my day 15 ultrasound. Follicles need to grow a little more. I'm going to inject the trigger shot tomorrow and IUI on Saturday! Never had an IUI on the weekend before. It's nice not having to worry about fitting it in with my work meetings.

I will check in later, just curious, when does your RE typically call when you have beta results? It's not like I'm expecting good news but it's 2:30 and I'm ready to get this conversation over with.
nectarine / 2600 posts
@Leialou: Ditto to what you said.
@bluestriped bee: Good luck on Saturday!
I am looking forward to February, and decorating for V-day. I'm a nerd like that. Looking forward to dinner out w/ DH. Also, once Feb. is over, I go visit my parents for practically the whole month of March!
We can finally start trying again as soon as AF comes and goes. I will go see my doc on cd 11 for a follicle check. I think things are a bit delayed though, after the hysteroscopy because I didn't O until like cd 20, and that is late for me. I hope things get back to normal on the next cycle.
Oh, also I found out I have HPV. Awesome. I guess they tested for it during the hyteroscopy. My results said I was a "healthy carrier" and I just have to check it once a year. But it's for strain 51, and that's one of the ones that can cause cancer down the line. I think there's a possibility of it just going away on it's own? I guess I'll ask my doc about it when I go in next. I'm just trying to be super healthy now, in the hopes that my body fights it off. I've started going to the gym again, which feels really good!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: HPV is more common than a lot of people think! A lot of people get it and it goes away on its own without ever being detected. For me, I had it biopsied basically and then went for paps every 3-4 months until they came back normal.

I am ready for February because I work less hours - can't complain about that! also one step closer to spring . . . aka June in Boston.
my update is that my beta today was EXACTLY the same at 28. what are the odds? not changing in 72 hours (and being so low) tells me what I already knew, that it isn't viable. I feel like I've really moved past that - I only had one day I let myself hope - but I am definitely worried about how quickly it will or won't drop so I can move on. this is new to me - over all my chemicals it was dropping by 16dpo (today) so I'm scared about how long it might go.
I have to do another beta Saturday. the nurse did say they will probably let us try again right away and she would email the RE about changing meds/dosage, which is something.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: yeah, I've missed you. Boo to the HPV. I hope it's as straight forward to care for as it was for @lindsayinny!
@bhbee: Will you consider having a D & C, or would you prefer to let things carry on naturally? I'm sorry that number did't drop for you so you could quickly move on.
pomelo / 5000 posts
@bluestriped bee: @lindsdayinny: the weekend is good for IUIs/BDing! Good luck, ladies!
@purplepumps: welcome! I hope the monitoring and new protocol works for you. Do you like your RE?
@SweetiePie: I keep checking on the IVF thread for your update. Fingers crossed it showed all good things!

@Happygal: I don't really understand everything but with low numbers I think they just wait for you to start bleeding. Not sure what would happen if it really dragged out a long time. Fx I just get a lower number Saturday and AF next week.
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Leialou: are you feeling like you need to have a set timeline, or are you waiting until the time feels right? That would feel like a lot of pressure, so I understand feeling anxious.
@babycanuk: I hope Feb. is a lucky month for you as well! Let us know how the SA results turn out.
@Mrs. Polish: do you celebrate birthdays in style? We haven't gotten a lot of snow here, but I'm ready for warmer temps.
blogger / nectarine / 2010 posts
@Happygal: we really don't. Dh's bday was just last weekend, mine is in two weeks, and Zay's is the end of the month. We're having a small get together for his, but I don't want to plan anything for mine. Last year we watched Harry Potter and dh taught me how to play chess. We're exciting.
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Mrs. Polish: ha! Our birthday celebrations are about the same. I like to go out to a nice restaurant and that's about it. I'm a fan of the low key birthdays.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: I love decorating for v-day too! I love Kohl's for all the different hand towels for every holiday.
@Happygal: So far so good with this RE though my bar was set pretty low after seeing my OB who pretty much dismissed everything I said and treated me like an idiot. I'm a lot more optimistic now with this RE.

I don't know of I should go spend money on fRER or wait until AF or I see something on a wondfo. Someone decide for me!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@babycanuck: if you're at least 12 dpo, I would test! Wondfo should pick it up for you. Once I get the idea in my head, I know I should just test b/c I can't stop thinking about it.
@purplepumps: sounds like a good thing that you moved on! I know people have been successful on Clomid without being monitored, but I still think it's something a doctor should keep a close eye on.
@purplepumps: and @theswisswifestyle: how do you decorate for V-day? I really only decorate for Christmas, but like the idea of doing something more.

I'm ready for February. It always seems like such a long month, even though it's technically very short! We're going to the Caribbean, so I'm going to hop online to buy some warm weather things. I like Valentine's day, too. Candy and celebrating love is a good thing!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@Happygal: I'm 11 dpo today bfn for two days. Maybe I won't spend on frer until I get a wondfo squinter
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Happygal: I swap out all the hand towels in the house. Put out pink soap dispensers. A few hanging heart garland type things.
nectarine / 2806 posts
@Mrs. Polish: February will most likely be our first IUI with injectables (unless I'm pregnant now, which I doubt). So, I'm excited and optimistic!!

@Mrs. Polish: I'm beyond ready for February! I am starting to go a little crazy....lol Symptom spotting like crazy the past few days!
I actaully just saw a small tint of pink in my cm only once today...ughhhhh I PRAY, its implantation!!!!! I'm 10DPIUI so it is a big possibility!!!!!!!
Ughhhh come on Sunday!!!!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@PurplePumps: that sounds cute!
@babycanuck: Yes, I'd wait for something to crop up on a good ole wondfo!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
Will keep checking with wondfos. Tried an OPK as I heard you can use those instead of HPT to see something and nothin

@bhbee: Ugh. I'm so, so sorry. That's so sad. Sending you a hug.
@Mrs. Polish: That's fun that you have your birthdays so close together! I hope you really get to celebrate!
@Happygal: Wow! I'm jealous of your trip! That sounds amazing! @CatchAFallingStar: Good luck! That sounds exciting!

If your read today's blog post that I wrote, then you know we've kind of moved away from fertility stuff for now to pursue adoption. We're very excited about adopting again, but I'm disappointed that the drugs we were trying with Mr. P didn't turn out so well. We till DTD around O time, but it's not like I ever think I'll be pregnant. But, we're always open to a miracle I suppose!
I'm rooting so much for all of you and hoping you get BFPs ASAP!

@bluestriped bee: Happy to hear that you are on your way to your IUI :)))) Best of luck to you!!!!!!
