Focusing on and enjoying working at home. What a difference. 3/24 = results appointment of testing and then I will know more.
March is coming to a close very quickly. What's everyone looking forward to in Spring? I can't wait for better weather to start walking to the gym.

Trying to get fit. I've put on 15 pounds TTC. Now that the weather is nicer (i hope!) I plan on running outside at least 5 times a week.
No real update for me, I'm 4 DPO in our last natural cycle. Just hanging out waiting for AF to show.

I'm focusing on planning excursions for our trip to Alaska this summer. I'm also taking some classes for work. That is keeping me busy.
AF showed and I started BCP last night. Now I start another waiting game. It'll be over a month before my first FET related appointment.

@Leialou: I went on an Alaskan cruise about 8 years ago. Sooo much fun!

@babycanuck: I'm looking forward to a couple things this spring. My anniversary is in the spring. My DH and I also throw a crawfish boil every April. This will be our third year. It's tons of fun!

We're focusing on becoming a licensed foster family. Unfortunately I can't share much about the situation because children are involved.
No updates. I had one day of spotting (really just two wipes of bloody discharge) last week and nothing since. PinkPad says my period is 50ish days late.

We planned a semi impromptu vacation to St. Martin/Maarten for Easter weekend so that's on my mind!
Otherwise, I'm nearing the end of the TWW. My progesterone levels seemed fine (12.55 at 5DPO), which surprised me. I've been having very little brown stuff all week though. So who knows at this point...
And, I've been worrying that a coworker could be pregnant. No reason really other than her mentioning a walk-in doctor's appointment for some unknown reason. So now I'm suspicious, again for no real reason. I don't know how I'll take it, if she is pregnant (before me)... =/

@LindsayInNY: I love St. Martin! That sounds fun. That's good news about your progesterone too.

@LindsayInNY: It's hard. I have 4 pregnant co-workers, 3 alone in our 15 person department. Especially since everyone makes a huge deal out of their pregnancies. ex: gender reveals at work, posting sonogram pics, making big deal about what they can eat/not eat. I'm happy for them but it is a constant daily reminder that I'm not pregnant.

@LindsayInNY: Your trip sounds like a lot of fun!!! Warm weather sounds awesome after this miserable winter

@Leialou: I need to start looking at things to do so I can get (more) pumped up!! Have you been before?!
@littlek: One coworker announced around the time we started trying and another announced in the fall (due next month). They both work in different offices though. This coworker works right with me which would be different for me... And I'm fairly vocal about our struggles too so she's aware. She had a large iced coffee a bit ago and rarely drinks coffee so I think I'm over reading into things for no reason...

I'm focusing on work a lot, my job keeps be fairly busy and my mind occupied. We also are hosting a baby shower for our friends this weekend which has been fun. Plus a vacation coming up in 3 weeks means I've been shopping a lot.
I have my IUI tomorrow and I'm nervous. I really don't want to get my hopes up but it is hard not to when this will be the first thing we have ever done differently. I guess we will see in 2 weeks.
@babycanuck: I can't wait to be able to walk the dogs more once it is warmer.
@littlek: I'm going to try to start running once it is nicer out too.
@Leialou: A trip to Alaska sounds nice! What are you planning on doing?
@Mrs. Polish: That is so awesome! We have talked about becoming foster parents but haven't commited to it yet. If you are able you will have to share some of the process on the blog, I think it would be facinating.
@LindsayInNY: Your trip will be awesome! I hate wondering if someone is pregnant, drives me crazy. It does seem strange that your P level is normal when you've had some short cycles. Maybe you are pregnant and the spotting is really IB.
blogger / nectarine / 2010 posts
@MrsTal: fingers crossed for you iui. I'll be thinking of you.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@MrsTal: good luck with your IUI! We're planning on sea kayaking and biking around Juneau, seeing a glacier, and then touring a micro brewery. We still haven't figured out what we want to do at the last stop. Maybe whale watching.

I love all the trips planned! I've been back on the myfitnesspal regimen this week and feeling good about that. I'd really like to lose 10 lbs and am determined to get there if this cycle doesn't work.
IUI is tomorrow, an hour after my cycle twin @MrsTal! I mostly feel totally blah about this cycle but did feel some hope today with major EWCM and some light cramps - hoping my body is ready to roll from the trigger. I haven't noticed EWCM on past triggers so I don't know if that's good or bad.
thank goodness we are going to be super busy with a house-hunting trip in Dallas during most of the TWW. stressful but fun. also I just need to see some nice weather . . . 60+ in TX sounds amazing right now!
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@Mrs. Polish: Ugh. 50 days! That stinks! How frustrating.
@Leialou: Alaska!? That sounds awesome!
@LindsayInNY: Oh goodness. I can usually call a pregnant lady from a mile away. I hate that. Blech. Plus, it's so stressful to wonder if or not until you know for sure. I hate how much I tend to over-analyze things!
Right now we're kind of busy looking at houses. We are interested in moving to a more diverse area of town, but the market is super crazy and you have to get contracts on houses the day they go on the market, which we just can't keep up with! Although it does sound like an appealing time to sell because we could probably get a good price for our house.
This has been spring break and it's been great. I'm just anxious for the summer. I swear, the summer is the best reason to be a teacher! hehe

@Mrs. Pinata: I know co-worker is looking to buy a house this summer so I'd kinda be surprised if she's pregnant. But of course now I'm watching her every move to see if something's different. She had a big iced coffee late this morning though, which isn't like her, so I'm guessing this is all in my head.

@MrsTal: @BhBee: good luck tomorrow! It's so fun that you guys get to be TWW twins.
@mrs. pinata: what grade do you teach? I teach part-time right now, tutor and do editorial work the rest of the time.
@Leialou: confession--I've never been to a crawfish boil. It sounds like a lot of fun though. Do you suck the heads?
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@Happygal: I don't! DH does. I think it's gross.

@Mrs. Polish: Thank you!
@Leialou: Thank you! All your excursions sound amazing.
@bhbee: I get the blah feelings. Like why would this work now, kind of thing? I noticed major EWCM this morning too, so I'm hopefully the trigger is working it's magic. House hunting will definitely keep your mind off of the TWW and I'm jealous you will get to experience some warmth. I'm sick of the cold. Good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking about you!
@Mrs. Pinata: That house hunting sounds crazy! I hope you find something you love soon.
@Happygal: Good luck to you tomorrow! I'll be thinking about you.

Score 1 for me. My aunt is coming with me on Monday. I broke down and told her on the phone what was up. She promised not to tell my parents.

@FaithFertility: I am going to need to print that out for myself if we don't succeed before we move!!
@babycanuck: I'm happy you found some support!
@MrsTal: good luck tomorrow to you too! I always feel like the IUI itself seems anti-climactic, like it needs more special magic baby dust or something for it to work! you might want to bring something to read (phone, kindle, etc) to distract yourself during the time you have to stay laying on the table after. I find it helpful.
@Happygal: good luck tomorrow, hope it goes smoothly for you!

@FaithFertility: @MrsTal: thanks friends. I'm nervous and will be glad when it's all over.

@MrsTal: @bhbee: good luck to both of you tomorrow!!
I don't really have a specific thing that I focus on instead of TTC. Just whatever life throws at me, mostly.
I had my 7dpo progesterone draw on Tuesday - 26.something, which the nurse said was great. I'm a little disappointed because it's lower than the previous two post-IUI progesterone checks, but they both ended up being negative cycles, so maybe this one is different in a good way. :). The big, bad beta is on Tuesday.
I'm so jealous of all of the fabulous vacations coming up! I was hoping for maybe a weekend getaway to Chicago this weekend for my birthday, but we're too broke :-/.
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@LindsayInNY: ugh. I know it stinks to feel like you're "on the.lookout" for signs.
@just_ju: that progesterone number sounds great! I think they just check tho be sure you don't need supplementation, and I think anything offer 13 (or so) is great!
@Happygal: well, my specialty is Spanish (I taught it for 6 years), but right now I teach preschool in order to be more part-time.

@just_ju: 26 sounds awesome! Happy Birthday! I hope this cycle is your BFP.
@mrstal: @bhbee: good luck tomorrow! FX that the both of you will be BFP buddies!
@happygal: I hope the laparoscopy goes well and you get the answers needed from the procedure!
@faithfertility: Have an amazing time on your cruise!
@babycanuck: glad you have the additional support, especially since it's family!
@Mrs. Pinata: we sold and bought last year and that was when the market was getting hot! good luck house hunting… if you're already working with a realtor, you can ask them to set up a notification system where you get a weekly email of houses that match the criteria you're looking for.
@lindsayinny: St. Maarten's sounds amazing! FX that it could be a pre-planned baby moon. Your progesterone number sound really good!
@Mrs. Polish: good luck on the licensing process! How long did they tell you it would take to get licensed? Are you going through a local/private agency or through your state/county run program?
@leialou: Will you be flying directly into Alaska or taking a cruise out of SF or Seattle? I think I looked a couple years ago and saw that Alaskan cruises out of SF were as cheap as $500 for a week! Of course this was during the off peak seasons.
@littlek: last year there were 3 pregnancies at the end of the year in my office! Everyone kept saying that I would be next, nope, still hasn't happened…
I'll be getting an April Fool's "wanding" and swabbing! My OB called to say that I haven't been in for a pap in 3 years so I needed to get that done. Luckily, I called RE's office today and they said they could do it since they would be "down" there anyways and will relay the results to the OB so I wouldn't have to make separate appointments. Also, with AF showing up now, I won't have AF or clomid to deal with on my girls' trip next weekend. Perfect timing! I'm hoping that this will be my cycle! I think this makes it Cycle 10 and it will be 16 months of trying in April!

@MrsTal: @bhbee: good luck with your IUIs today!! Fingers crossed!
@Happygal: good luck with your lap today friend, I know you'll do great!
I posted most of this on the IVF board already, but I had my ER on Wednesday and they got 19 eggs. Yesterday I found out that 8 of them fertilized normally, which is a little lower than I was hoping for, but still 8 embryos. Today I'll find out if I'm doing a 3 day transfer tomorrow or a 5 day transfer on Monday. The plan is to transfer two this time... I'm hoping for some great quality day 5 blasts!

@Shutterbug: I'm super excited for you! Fingers crossed for some excellent news coming your way for transfer!

I just scheduled an initial consultation with a RE for April 3. So far everything has come back normal and, as much as I like my normal ob/gyn, she's not the most convenient for frequent appointments and not an expert in this area. So I have an appointment lined up, just in case (being optimistic and all)!

I guess you could say I'm focusing on unpacking. Moved in a month ago and still got boxes around that need to be unpacked.
As updates...
We saw the other RE yesterday and I'm looking forward to switching. It will delay our timelines by a month but I think it's for the best. I don't want to give any more of my money to my current clinic.
The current clinic's policy of not allowing other RE's to see you when your current RE is out is pretty rediculous. It's a huge inconvenience to wait for your RE to get back from vacation/mat leave. The only thing that would help in staying would be my IVF cycle would start earlier.
The New RE does not have that policy, but would like to run some additional diagnostic tests. The RE does not want to do any more IUIs because he saw from my charts that its not working and IVF would be next. RE thinks that I might have a mild PCOS w low egg supply. That is the first time I've been given a possible diagnosis! He would like to run a test to test his theory. He didn't give me timelines since he wants to wait but it might be looking like my IVF will be in May. I know if I stayed with my current RE, I would know if I was pregnant by Mother's Day. I think that's the only part that makes me think I should stay. The one chance to get pregnant in April. Also, Cheri22 (TTC psychic) said I would conceive, give birth or get good news in April.
I do feel better with the new RE. I need to talk to the DH and see how he feels about today's consultation. He had to leave early to catch another dr appointment, so we weren't able to discuss our next steps.
So stay with current RE and start IVF this next cycle (AF is suppose to come tomorrow) or go with new RE and delay by one month?
Oh, my accupuncturist said a bunch of her patients were referred to the new RE after not having other REs work. So that is a very good sign!
Oh, DH said he liked the new dr and office better, too. They seem to not care about money. Like DH just got a sperm analysis and blood test at the current office. They could have made DH redo it there, but said they could wait for the results to be sent over. Also, I asked about my out of town work trip at the end of the month. They said that I could get my blood work done in that city if I had to. I know my current office had me delay my cycle because I was out of town.
Everything is really looking good for the new RE.
