@Leialou: *hugs*
Today is CD3 for me. I just got a call message from the nurse and she said my doctor reviewed my last cycle and said we could try Letrozole again. I'm iffy, that's the one thing I didn't want to bother with again with how messed up my last cycle was (going from 9mm follie to LH surge just 4 days later, and 12 day LP - my LP has always been 14 or 15 days). Ugh, don't know what to dooooo.

@Leialou: so many hugs to you, friend It's ok to not be ok yet.
@PurplePumps: man, that's a tough one! I think if I were you (not that you're asking ) I'd take this cycle off/unmedicated and wait for the next steps meeting you have coming up. I agree with you that the Letrozole seemed to do wacky things to your cycle.
I haven't been around these check-ins much, mainly because I have no updates or plans, but I'm still reading them and rooting everyone on! I've been werkin' on my fitness lately, and I've lost 5 lbs. My goal is to lose another 15 before starting up on treatments again. I miss cookies lol!

@Leialou: I'm so sorry. Hang in there lady, you'll get through it.
@bluestriped bee: fx this is your month!
@FaithFertility: thanks for all your encouragement
@PurplePumps: I'm sorry, that sounds confusing. Maybe you can ask the doc to call you or schedule a consultation appt?
I'm going to try to keep up with everyone this week! I could use a distraction. DH's surgery is next Thursday and I'm more nervous than excited. I'm hoping he handles the stress ok. With the brain injury, anything outside of our routine can cause anxiety.
Luckily he's very healthy, but I still worry about his seizure disorder. They don't schedule the surgery time until the day before. I sure hope his is in the morning so he's not hungry and dehydrated all day. I also hope he's not too nauseous because he has gotten carsick before. He says he'll be fine, but he's gonna be crabby when he wakes up with sore testicles.
He takes blood thinners to prevent clots in his legs, so I have to start giving him injections again on Saturday. Good practice for IVF, I guess.

@Leialou: My thoughts and prayers are with you
@bluestriped bee: Oooh not too much longer!!
@PurplePumps: I hope this cycle on Letrozole goes better than your last one!!
@Shutterbug: Glad to see you here! Great job on losing the weight! It's such a tough battle!
Updates...I did my trigger shot last night, and I am scheduled for my retrieval tomorrow morning! My doctor prefers doing three day transfers so unless something changes, I should be going in for transfer on Monday!

@macintosh: Good luck with your husband's surgery! I hope everything goes well!!

@Shutterbug: hehe, opinions and thoughts are always welcome! I'm definitely taking next cycle unmediated cause we're going on a trip, I was debating on this one too.
@macintosh: I have an appointment for Tuesday to discuss what happens next if this cycle doesnt work, but if I start meds, I need to do that Sunday. But I will set up another phone call with her today or tomorrow after I talk to DH about it.
Hope everything goes well with the surgery!
@Sunshine1810: GL with the retrieval! FX for you.

@Leialou: I can't imagine how you could possibly be feeling ok this early. It's so, so disappointing. I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about you often recently, so I've decided to commit to pray for you every day. I hope you don't mind. You have been through so much and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have been through the "wringer." I know when I'm at my lowest I fall into so much grief and let others carry my hope and do the praying for me. So, I'll be one of those people for you even though we've never technically met. I just have a really tender place in my heart for people who have been through IF for so long. It's.so.hard. Hugs.
@PurplePumps: Ugh. That's so frustrating to not have your consult until after you would need to start meds. IF is just full of so much waiting.
@bluestriped bee: I feel like the 19th will be here so soon!
@macintosh: FX for your DH's surgery! I'll be saying prayers they find some good ones in there!
@Sunshine1810: Good luck tomorrow!! I hope you are able to have a relaxing weekend too!

Update on us? Not much. We're still just doing all the natural stuff, including essential oils. I actually just signed up to work with doTerra and will be teaching essential oils classes and selling their oils. So, I guess as I leave teaching I'm starting something new. I'm really excited about it too!
And DH's rashes are getting better, but definitely still not gone. Actually, the oils are the only things making him feel better. I had a +OPK yesterday, so we're going to attempt to BD tonight as long as he's feeling well enough. Poor guy. Sorry if that's TMI!

@Leialou: Thinking of you....
@bluestriped bee: FX that this is your month!
@PurplePumps: How much do you trust your doctor? If she thought the Letrozole worked pretty well, then maybe it's worth doing again... A 12-day luteal phase seems adequate to me (mine are always close to 13)... Good luck, whatever you decide!
@Shutterbug: Hooray for healthy weight loss! You go, girl!
@macintosh: That sounds very challenging... Hopefully the procedure won't be too hard on him and you'll retrieve lots of healthy sperm! I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts!
@Sunshine1810: SO EXCITED...!!!
@Mrs. Pinata: Wishing you lots of luck!
I started my Lupron injections yesterday! Today's was easier and I didn't feel it as much...so, so far so good! Also, I was able to schedule my first acupuncture appt (in about 6 months) for tomorrow! Life is good.

I am....not excited about this thread. I hate seeing another week pass by. It sucks and I have no updates anyway. I hope others will at least have a good & POSITIVE (get it?) update this week so we can all cheer up:)

AFM, nothing exciting. I think I O'd, but I was away at Girl Scout camp this past weekend, so no way was I waking up "normally." So temping went right out the window. Still had some EWCM on Monday when I came back though, so got some more BD sessions in. Also came back from camp with a UTI, ugh! It seems to have cleared up now.
Other than that, still just floating through life....blah.

No updates here. Still lurking because HB is blocked at work. In the TWW with not much hope for anything but next cycle! Miss all you ladies!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
I am going to try Letrozole again starting CD5, today. My husband thought 1 data point wasn't a very good indicator of how it worked and doctor said we could do that again, and that the response to it could be normal and the shorter LP is still within normal range and likely due to the hormones. And that its not too surprising to see slow follicle growth in the beginning and for it to speed up. I'll be charting this cycle and using OPKs too, and ask for a little more frequent monitoring if it starts off the same way as last time. If this doesn't work, natural cycle since we'll be in FL beginning of Aug, then on to IVF probably, details to be discussed with the doc on Tue.

Hey ladies! Feeling very blah today
My doctor called yesterday to say that DH's and my chromosome testing came back normal, as well as the additional tests for me. AF should be here tomorrow; I didn't have much hope for this cycle because the miscarriage threw me off. The next 2 cycles are a wash since DH is in San Diego & I O right in the middle of the week. In August, we (I) will be trying a few cycles using frozen sperm and hoping for the best! I guess I'm not feeling very optimistic that I won't continue to miscarriage since there's no good reason, but I don't know what more we can do, testing-wise.
@PurplePumps: Sounds like a good plan! My DH is from Orlando; I love FL!
@CupQuakeWalk: I'm right there with you on this feelings!

@Kelli_Deluxe: I'm sorry that you're feeling blah... You've had 2 miscarriages? This may not be what you need to hear right now...but the fact that they didn't find anything is really a good thing! Someone (your RE?) could probably find some statistics for you, but your chances of a recurrent m/c may still be quite low (although as we all know, miscarriages are all too common ). Take whatever time you need to heal up! Again, I'm sorry things are rough right now... FX that you will get your rainbow baby soon!
apricot / 288 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Thank you for your kind words! Yes, I've had 2 mc's; I know the likelihood of a third is significantly lower but I can't help but feel like the next one would be the same. I need to get positive! DH and I talked about doing ivf when he gets back next year so that prospect has me a little optimistic. I guess this deployment may be good for something after all!
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@Kelli_Deluxe: Yep. I'm doing doTerra too! I'm doing some for fertility. I'd be curious to see what your friend suggested as well. Are you trying out the EOs while you wait to do official treatment?
Also, my sister had 2 miscarriages that they couldn't figure out and the third pregnancy stuck and they have a 6 month old. I think it's more common than people talk about.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Kelli_Deluxe: hang in there friend, I know it is hard! I am in your shoes with 4 early losses and no answers, but then after 2 losses each time I've had a sticky one. Just to say - it can happen even when no one understands what made the difference! My re also said he thought Ivf was the best next step because it can help with any embryo quality issues that they might not otherwise detect. So I think all your plans are great!
