If I could get any tech gadget for free... it would be Google Glass. I'd love a pair, since it's really innovative stuff and I think it could just be the next big thing... even if it's not, it still sounds fun.

Google glass would be cool. One of my friends is a google glass "widow" right now! (seattle)
I'd love to get all the stuff to wire up our video/control surveillance system for the house.

iPad, I would just use it to play on, so I can't really justify the expense of buying one.

An iPad or a big fancy flat-screen HDTV (that's a thing, right?). We have a TV that works perfectly fine but it's probably like 15 years old, lol.
The Google Glass things look really neat but I feel like I'd get very overwhelmed with them (and this is pretty why I'm perpetually 5 years behind the technology curve...)
