@Mrs. Confetti: Ah right, that wouldn't work for us as I have the other LO to factor in and serving three lunches would be a bit crazy... although the dog would LOVE it

It is turning out now as we have gotten the hang of one nap to be a small lunch before, and then a heavy snack after. Maybe framing it that way would help?

@travelgirl1: just my 2 cents, my LO could NOT make it later in the morning at first (but still wouldn't take a second nap). for a few weeks, he took one nap, at 11 AM and then went to bed crazy early. It stunk! He slowly pushed it back on his own until it was at a more normal time. We've shuffled nursing/snacks/lunch around so he was always eating right before nap.

I gotta admit, I'm the luckiest parent ever. My son wakes around 8:30, then goes down for a nap any time between 12:30 and 2:00 and sleeps for 2 to 3 hours generally. Dropping the morning nap has been great for us! I missed that long nap so much and I can be a lot more productive now!

@scg00387: Ah, that's great that he figured it out on his own! With A not being sleep trained she has never really been able to figure sleep out on her own so I'm at a loss on how to move forward with it all really. We have to wean by mid February so I think something will have to change with her sleep at that point...

From 11-13 months was:
7:30pm bedtime
7-8 wake
11-1 nap
From 13-almost 14 months
7pm bedtime
7-7:30 wake
*12:30 or 1 start time until 2:30-3:30
*We had to move her nap later because she was about to change rooms at daycare. She starts in the toddler room tomorrow and is supposed to nap 12:30 or 1 until 2:30 or 3.

When my LO first went to one nap she went down around noon and it stayed like that for several months. Then around 22 months I kept pushing it back bc she wouldn't go down and just played in her crib. So now at 26 months she wakes up between 7:30/8:00 and naps around 2:30/3:00 and I get her up after 2 hours and bedtime is 8:00 (if she doesn't sleep I leave her in bed for quiet time and her bedtime is moved up to 7:00)
