And you go somewhere, say to eat, and everyone is praying before a meal, what do you do?
DH's extended family prays before meals at holiday gatherings, I bow my head to be polite but I'm curious how others handle these types of situations.

Same. The harder thing is teaching the girls to be quiet to be respectful. I'm still not sure on where I stand on if they should stop eating or not.

I bow my head if I'm at a table (not if I'm standing), but do not close my eyes (lol, I'm a recent convert to non-religious so it's my little act of rebellion since my family doesn't know).

I sit there quietly. I will hold hands with everyone if they include that in their prayer. To me, it's just an issue of being respectful in someone else's home.

I don't know anyone who prays before eating! But in a prayer situation, like a funeral, I would bow my head or even join in if its the Lords Prayer. I see no harm in it.
