Funny story. I got my first job (at an accounting Big 4 firm) right out of school and was contacted by a partner a few months in to be mentored for their diversity program. I'm really not diverse according to their standards, and I came to find out that somehow the firm had messed up my record and noted that I was a Pacific Islander! I felt terrible thinking they had only hired me to boost their diversity score, but felt better after I started getting performance reviews and realized they actually really valued me.

Idk, something tan? I hated being made fun of for being pale growing up. Good thing my husband is hispanic - our kids will be "tan"

This is cheating...but I'll like to be a diff ethnicity for a day for a month! That would be fun.

I don't know that I'd be able to pick one. Every ethnicity has it's pros and cons, you know? Look good young, but age poorly, have a really interesting long cultural history but have parents who have many rules about your life because of that history. Have lovely dark skin, but have to deal with racism because of it. When I was in elementary school, we were learning about ethnicities and I was very jealous of the kids that could rattle off 10 backgrounds. And I only had 2.
