This is a tougher hypothetical than I thought because as much as I really wanted a girl, I would have been really sad not to have a boy either. I won't choose sides since I have one of each and let a poll do the talking!

Two girls. I grew up with two sisters and so did DH, I think he'd answer the same.

I have no idea...I think two boys would be easier than having two girls, but I would be SO SAD to never get to experience that mother-daughter relationship. This is a really hard question! I guess that's why we wouldn't stop at two if we only had boys or only had girls

I voted 2 girls, but I think I've changed my mind! I want 2 boys instead, haha! My reasons are dumb, but I really want Hubby to be able to pass on his family name.

I don't know what I would have said before I had my LO, but now that I have one little girl, I'd actually choose having two girls over one of each!

I wanted 2 girls and got 2 girls! When we found out our first was a girl I dreamed of her having a sister, even if we weren't sure we were going to have any more kids.

Only because we already have 1 girl and it will make life easier in the short-term (i.e. they are going to have to share a room and two of the same would mean we didn't have to worry about reconfiguring or buying a new house in the long term).

I really wanted to experience having a daughter, so I had to vote 2 girls, I do hope I get the opportunity to have a son as well though!

I've told DH we're only allowed to have girls I've watched my two nephews growing up and I just don't have enough energy to do that 24/7, LOL! Every day I tell my little belly that there better be a girl in there! LOL!

I voted 2 girls! I guess it has mostly to do with the fact that I already have one girl.

I am SO glad we don't get to/have to choose. But if I had to, I guess I would say 2 boys. I really do want to have the mother/daughter relationship, but I also know I will bond with anything we have right away, where H really wants sons. So, for his sake, I said 2 boys. Either way, though, I almost think I'd rather 2 of either one over 1 of each, so they can have that same sex sibling bond that I have with my sisters and H has with his brothers.
However, a girl WOULD be the first granddaughter on my side, and the first grandchild on his, so that would be fun!

I don't know... Before having my son, I definitely would have said two girls, since my daughter is so wonderful. But now, having one of each, I really couldn't choose. They're both so amazing in their own special ways!

2 boys!! Mostly because my husband would really want to have a son and I'll always have the opportunity to bond with their wives, etc. down the line. It would be sad to not be able to experience the mother/daughter relationship though.

I'd say girls. DH wanted a boy, but he is already wrapped around LO's finger and she isn't even here yet

I would take two of either (but not two of each haha). Two girls would be amazing and two boys would be fun, too.

I want two boys, my husband wants two girls! I'd love one of each, too, but for some reason I just picture myself being a mama to boys.

No preference. I'm one of four girls, plus a surprise little brother. I know from experience that life would be great with all boys or all girls!

DH and I really want two girls. I'd probably cry if I had 2 boys, lol.

oh my gosh... I have nooo idea. I LOVE my baby boy and would be thrilled to have another boy!!
But I know I'd love girls soo, and I love seeing friends who are two sisters and are soo close to each other. I love sister-bonds.
I would say either!! so I can't vote either.

@Adira: that's why I'd want 2 boys... He's the first son of the first son of the first son or something like that. Plus, my husband would rather have sons.... But I'd absolutely hate being outnumbered.

Definitely girls! I have two girls already and look at little boys wondering what I would do with them.
