If you could choose any one hobby or activity to take up, what would it be? Let's assume that time, money and other typical restrictions are not an issue. Just for fun!

I would take up horseback riding (again). I used to absolutely love it as a teen, but it's an expensive hobby, and I just don't have the extra funds (or time) right now. I am determined to get back into it one day!

I'd like to get into my old hobby of dressage. It's been several years since I've even been on a horse and that makes me sad. But dressage is a very expensive hobby so it's not happening anytime soon.

@Arden: We are on the same page! I would LOVE to go out for a loooong trail ride and pop over a few jumps, but I'm far too out of practice and way more of a scaredy-cat than I used to be! I swear I was fearless.

Rock climbing! I went once and fell in love. The closest rock gym is pretty far though

Encaustic painting. I don't have any of the supplies (or time), so it would be really expensive!

Making homemade wine or beer. Gosh, sometimes I feel like I have a drinking problem lol But really, I would like it.

Aerial classes! They just opened a rock climbing gym like 5 minutes from our house and they teach aerial silk and ring classes. I want to do it so bad, but its expensive. I cant justify it and pole.

@loveisstrange: Ah, that is such a good one! I follow someone on IG who got into that, and I am incredibly envious. I don't even think there is a studio around here who offers that!

Hmm, sewing? rock climbing, paddleboarding (but I live in the desert), or something to do with music- maybe piano or dance?
Buuuut the truth is I probably wouldn't feel like sewing or piano at the end of the day, so something physical for sure. Dance. I pick dancing! and there is not a great reason why I couldn't do it. Just lazy

@Synchronicity: Im hoping next year after I graduate and our income is a little more steady, I can talk DH into letting me do it.

Toss up between photography & riding. I used to show horses when I was younger, but my grandpa got older and sold them all when it came too hard to take care of them, so it's been years since I've been on a horse.

A real yoga practice. But studio classes are too expensive for me at the moment.

Piano! My in-laws gave us their old piano and I have no idea how to play it. I can read music some from playing flute in middle school, but I worry I'm too old to learn a new instrument now.

Yoga. I loved it when I took classes but I just can't fit it in with DH's work schedule, an infant, and another on the way.

Sailing! DH took a class a couple of summers ago and I'd like to know my way around the boat too.

I used to take oil painting and rock climbing lessons and really loved both! I'd either go back to one of those or get into photography - if money not being an issue means that somehow I can magically have a nice DSLR and learn how to use it, then photography all the way!

Back to horse riding, it's something ill do again shortly, probably in the new year as LO is due in 3 weeks.

Dance for sure. I loved to dance when I was a child and teenager, but I don't really have the time or the money to take classes now. (Oh yeah, OR the figure to be prancing around in a leotard!!) But I'd love to be back in ballet. Maybe when my kids get a bit older and I find some money....

I guess I would get back into dance and I would take up capoeira. I've always wanted to learn.

I always wanted go go to culinary school. I consider myself an advanced home cook, but I would love to learn as much as possible. We are taking an Asian cooking class this fall. I find a lot of cooking schools to be very expensive in my area and I'm worried they would be more for fun than serious students. I would never actually go back to school and work as a chef, I have just reached a plateau in the kitchen.

Pottery! I took a class in college and loved it, but getting the clay, wheel, a kiln, and glazes is just too much for now. One day though (hopefully!).

@Leialou: Oh lord I hate sailing so bad, lol! I always left bruised, chapped, burned, and miserable. You are a braver woman than me!

Re-discover scuba diving and archery.
Try photography, horseback riding, kick boxing.
ATM I ride a motorcycle, play strategy games and fish.

I have pretty many hobbies to begin with, but weaving on a floor loom is cost prohibitive so I would probably choose that.
@youboots: Ooo! That's a good one. I love cooking and would love to go to a school to perfect my skills, but I have no desire to be a professional chef.

Knitting for sure! I don't have anyone to teach me though! I've tried watching youtube videos and stuff, but I just can't get the hang of it!

Well does photography count as thats my current hobby. If it had to be something new horseback riding

So many things to learn! I would love learn more about sewing and photography.
