I asked my friends this weekend at a birthday brunch, and they recommended Parenthood (since I like Friday Night Lights), Downton Abbey (it's like a Korean drama), and Walking Dead (though it's been declining).
What show what you recommend to your friends?
Mine would be BBC's Sherlock (it's on Netflix.) It's awesome!

Yeah, couldn't chose one...I guess it would depend what they were into. Doctor Who, Sherlock, 30 Rock and Community top my list.

It's a bit of an oldie but I still think no other show will ever compare to The West Wing! Pure brilliance and an absolutely phenomenal show.

Hell on Wheels! I love it so much and it doesn't seem to have much of a following. Done by the same people as the walking dead but I prefer it over the walking dead (which is cray cuz I Love me some zombies)

@photojane: I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love this show...love it more than The Office and maybe a tiny bit more than 30 Rock.
I really loved Friday Night Lights sooo much...and I really love Parenthood too. My other favorite shows are The Good Wife and Game oif Thrones (can't wait for it to start up again).

I enjoy the lighthearted comedies like Psych and Grimm. I'm gonna have to pick Grimm since I hated the last episode of Psych.

I'm always recommending The Walking Dead. We don't watch a ton of regular shows but we've had The Hatfields and McCoys recommended to us (it's a miniseries rather than a show). We plan to start it soon.

@hummusgirl: Ditto on House of Cards! I will say it took me a few episodes to get into it but it was amazingly written and once I was hooked we flew through it.

@MsLipGloss: I can't be the only degrassi fan? I love that show. I dvr the reruns everyday at 3am and Friday night plays the newer series episode. Oh how I love that show lol!
