I would massage and bf/ pump like crazy and it usually took 2-3 days for the clog to unclog.

@chopsuey119: I do. I'm just pumping now and I massage them best I can through the bra while I'm pumping. Well, I do it most of the time. Sometimes I'm just annoyed and want to Hellobee instead of massaging. Haha. I need to stop sleeping on my belly/left side. Sucks because a. I missed sleeping on my belly and b. my left side became my go-to side during pregnancy so now that's the side I want to sleep on!! (that's the side of the clog)

@mediagirl: ugh. The entire are around one of my nipples is sooo sore. Like radiates. Just got bigger size flanges in mail hope helps.

It took maybe 4-5 days? I massaged in the shower and I also used hot compresses all day!
If you are prone to getting blocked ducts my midwife recommended to take lecithin 4x/day.
Hope it goes away soon!

Once I feel the blocked duct (hard painful area on the boob) I locate the plugged duct on the nipple and remove the hardened milk...sometimes it takes several tries (kind of like popping a pimple or clearing an ingrown hair) but once it is removed the milk just starts spraying out and I express/massage until the milk stops spraying and the hard area of my boob gets soft
