Did it go away right away after delivery? Or was it more gradual despite suddenly not being pregnant?

Ugh I had it with my last and again this time. It eased after I had him but didn't totally go away. Then again, I have back issues anyway...

Oh it was bad. The sciatica went away right away but I developed compression of my lumbar discs so I still have a different pain

I have lower back aches and hip pain chronically. They are so much worse during pregnancy. But there is almost "immediate " relief post delivery, hip pain during third tri is almost unbearable. Seriously night and day post delivery.

I have back issues sometimes not pregnant but usually more in my upper back. First pregnancy I had bad sciatica in the middle but it has lessened early in the third tri anyway. This time it still is fairly bad so hoping getting this baby out eases it!

Nope. I'm 9 months pp and if I lay on my back to do sit ups I die of sciatic pain

@anonysquire: have you tried a chiropractor? I've been going when it gets bad during pregnancy and it helps a lot for a week or two then starts getting worse again, I assume from the extra weight and pressure that's still there. Hoping if I go after it will last longer. But also my LO is almost 2.5 so I'm not carrying her nearly as much, I'm sure you are still carrying your babies more with is probably adding to it.

I had really bad sciatic pain with DS early on. I went to a chiropractor weekly to help ease the pain, along with wearing a maternity belt if I was on my feet for long periods of time.
Thankfully, once I delivered, the pain went away!
