One of my greatest struggles on Hellobee is not fixing people's posts. I have an agreement with a few users that I can fix the grammar in their posts. But other than that, I work hard not to abuse my admin powers.
Sometimes it's hard though.
If you had the power to fix people's typos and grammatical mistakes, could you resist?

Agh! Yes. I am a super grammar and spelling NERD.
That being said...go ahead and fix my posts, if need be. I'd rather people point out my mistakes than just assume I'm illiterate....

I like to correct people's grammar just so that they are not ignorant to their mistake...Not to make them feel bad. But if I had the power, I wouldn't correct it. I would just tell them.
Remember when you corrected my spelling mistake of "accommodate"? It was good to know! I stopped spelling it wrong since!

If I see obvious issues with grammar or spelling, it is so hard not to say something about it or want to fix it. That being said, I know sometimes I don't think before I type and embarrass myself by typing errors.

@MrBee: LOL - this is quite a spin on *abuse of power*! I don't know if I could resist . . . it's hard enough re-reading a post and realizing I made a mistake and then realizing that the edit feature is no longer available. Doh! >.<

@mrbee: Oh yeah, you wrote on my wall. But I appreciated it. When it comes to things like that (and having spinach stuck in my teeth, or if my breath stinks, etc.) I would want to know.

I often type without paying too much attention so I am sure I make a lot of mistakes..... but that doesn't necessarily mean I have bad grammer and bad spelling. Plus, there is also auto-correct! I don't think I really judge what people write on message boards.

Please fix me! I'm often typing on the go and make mistakes I wouldn't normally make. And then I'll go back into the thread later and see my mistake and be horribly embarrassed!

I'm an editor, so I get to abuse that power all the time! It's glorious. 
Though, if I were monitoring a forum, the task would probably be too overwhelming to tackle. Writing is much more casual on the web.

I am a freak about grammar, spelling, typos and formatting! On some other boards (not Hellobee), the typos and lack of punctuation are so flagrant that I have to navigate away from the website because it irks me too much!

Feel free to fix mine! Except for the Canadian spellings of labour and colour and favourite etc. Those are off-limits!

If I had the power, I wouldn't correct grammar because I make mistakes, too, and I suck at grammar. (I think I overuse commas. You don't know how many times I go back and edit my post because don't know if I used a comma correctly. Feel free to edit them. ) Also, I know a lot of people post on their phones and it's so much easy to have a typo on the phone.
But I would correct excess punctuation.
Not really a fan of threads titled 'Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I wouldn't. I make mistakes mostly because I post from my phone and I can't see my whole message, or sometimes I type fast & don't pay much attention and other times I really do make mistakes without knowing. However, there are few grammatical errors that drive me nuts. When someone tells me their car is "broke", I have to stop them right there and correct them. Someone today commented on my FB and said, "I seen you the other day"...um, what?!? No! You saw me the other day!

Oh gosh, I know I'm guilty of grammar mistakes! My only slight annoyance is when people confuse your you're they their there they're here hear ... and the like.

That would be my favorite super power! Text speak drives me insane.
At work I am the go to person for editing papers. I love it, as one of my fantasy careers would be a book editor in NYC!
