I would be mortified.
We look like hoarders. We are doing renovations so theres literally a path to walk through our kitchen. Not to mention LO's toys and clothes scattered everywhere!

It's tolerable. My family lives close by and my mom comes by unannounced on occasion. If it is a mess she will definitely comment.

Cleaning lady came Thursday, so I'd be ok we with it.

Not really. It is horrible after being home with baby by myself for four days but not as clean as it should be.

@Lindsay05: lol too funny!! I had a cleaning spree yesterday so I'd be fine w visitors except I've been living in sweats and a sports bra the last few weeks so no, wouldn't be happy if people popped in... Love the 9 month pregnant wardrobe....sweats, bare feet, occasional shirt, no makeup but don't really care!!!!!!

Haha... it's Friday and we've both been at work all week so it's a bit of a mess. But we live in an apartment, so it's probably close enough to "clean" that if someone rang the lobby, I could send DH down to SLOOOOOWLY bring them in and be presentable by the time they got upstairs. Not like, mother-in-law clean, but a friend, sure.

Yes...because DH just did the dishes! That is the only big thing that was looking pretty bad.

i feel like my house is never visitor ready. but it only takes a good 10 minutes to get the living area and kitchen clean.

hahahahahaha.... no. i should have cleaned today, but i took a nap instead. far more satisfying.

Oh my goodness, I'd be mortified also. We're in the middle of lots of little repair and work so the house is a mess. Hopefully by the end of summer it'll be all back in order and better than it started!

Sweet lord. A couple days ago a couple came by to drop some stuff off & the husband decided to take a self guided tour since he'd never been to our house before (wife has many times). The front of our house was perfectly clean, the back (where he ventured) was a cluster-you-know-what. DH has been bringing stuff home from his parents (who have passed away) to go through in order to get the house ready to sell. Yeaaaa...not my finest moment.

It's a little messy but nothing a quick 10-minute blitz couldn't take care of.

It could stand to have the vacuum run but other than that it's in pretty good shape.

It's pretty cluttered but its not horrific. It's honestly pretty typical for us.
This apt hasn't ever been CLEAN since we moved in because its small and not enough storage for everything

I'd be fine as long as they are animal people. Everything is decently clean since I had family in town last week, but I haven't vacuumed since then so there is a good amount of pet hair flying around.

Yeah I would be ok with it. It's typically picked up/clean in here.

Yes, I'd be ok. It's not immaculate but it never gets terrible anyways.

Yes, my parents cleaned my house. Hurricane LO tore through the living room but the rest of the rooms look pretty good.

we've been moving from the downstairs unit to upstairs, so there are piles and boxes everywhere because it's still in process, but the house is really clean. It's just the clutter. So I guess it depends on who it is.

Give me an hour to do dishes, and it would be fine. Since.our.families both live out of town, we do get a little warning before they come up. That is the one good thing about it-time to clean!

Usually it's somewhat sloppy, but our place is in the market right now, so we have to keep it immaculate.

I think you can be excused if you're in the middle of reno's!
Yes, the house is usually clean so I don't mind when people drop by.

Nope! We're in the middle of packing everything away. Besides we've put ourselves on full austerity measures. Two forks only. Dirty fork? You get no fork!

@Lindsay05: Mortified doesn't even begin to describe.. 37 weeks pregnant and doing renovations... Yah...
