I do and I never had a food processor before in my life but I use it often!

I have both and I use both.

I don't have a ninja but I have a blender (vitamix) and 2 separate food processors. It depends on what you cook. I use a small processor a lot for things I don't want to chop like onions, jalapenos, bacon, nuts, hummus. I use it to do things like oat flour. I use my large food processor mostly for veggie burgers (I don't want that stuff super smooth but usually chunky). I use the blender for smoothies and salsa. Haven't tried any soups yet. But I do use a stick blender for some sauces because you don't have to change containers

they definitely do not do the same types of jobs but whether or not you need the food processor depends on what you cook. I need both so I would get it.

I have what @brownepiano: has, and have not needed a separate food chopper. I've made margaritas and pureed baby food with my ninja. It is compact, so it doesnt take up much space.
