How do you get them to concentrate on eating when all they want to do is look around at the world?

M is 16 weeks and we have to be out the door by 6:40am. I need to feed her before we leave so I start that around 6:10. Sometimes it takes a half hour to get her to eat because she's smiling at me (which I love, don't get me wrong) and looking at everything.

Any suggestions on getting baby to wake up earlier or to concentrate while eating that early? I'm currently turning her light on at 6am and letting her wake up for a few minutes before I pick her up. She goes down by 6:30pm. Perhaps this is just a phase she is going through?
