Just asked, and DH says we pay around $30/year (if it matters, it's worth around $3,000 (which freaks me out when I think about it, because that's what I paid for my first car!)). I've also never had to have it reappraised, and I've had it right around 5 years.

About $140 a year and it's valued at around $11,000.

I don't remember! But I don't remember it being very much.

Ours is really high (not even going to post it). But it was explained to me that rings and jewelry have a higher premium or whatever because they are more likely to get lost or damaged. The risk to the insurance company is higher.

We have my engagement ring and both of our wedding rings on a separate rider. We pay $300 a year for all of them.

There's usually a cap on what can be covered under your homeowner's policy. Ours exceeded that amount so we needed a separate policy.

I think insurer's require a recent appraisal. I remember one of mine saying within the last 18 months? So it's possible that you might need it re-appraised.

We have to have ours on a separate rider (the coverage is much worse if it's not separate). I have all two rings covered together - it's about $125/year for $30,000 of coverage. The rider I have is the more expensive of two rider options my insurance offers - the option we have allows you to get the cash value OR a replacement ring made (which could be more than the cash value). We have to re-appraise every 5 years.

Like @LindsayinNY said, there is a limit to what your normal policy covers, so our (nice) watches are covered, but my jewelry had to go separately.

Wow, that sounds really high unless you have a 30k e-ring. I think it's typically about $10 per $1000 of value. We pay about 130 for a 13k appraisal. I've never had to have it reappraised.

$150/year for $15k coverage. Reappraisals optional. I lost my e-ring for over a month, and I got it re-appraised when I found it because I noticed prices had gone up. Our policy stayed the same.

Ours is $250 ish a year just for my e-ring. Total for the homeowners is $1000 ish.
