Between my husband and 2 kids we've been through 4 courses of Tamiflu. For the kids it's always less than 24 hours after starting the meds that fever breaks. For my husband it was 48 hours, but he didn't go in to the doctor as quickly as I take the kids. My kids rarely run fever even with raging ear infections, so if it's flu season and they spike a high fever I take them in immediately for flu tests.

We got LO in within 13 hours of first symptoms. So I'm keeping fingers crossed it's quick.

My DS has a high fever for 3 days. Days 4-5 he would wake up fever free, but would have a low fever by lunch time. Day 6 the fever completely broke.

@travellingbee: day 1- He hardly acted sick. He had the fever and the cough only. Lots of energy.

@Alba4: Ugh. Was hoping to hear the fever was gone. But good that he was feeling OK. Did he have a flu shot? Do you know if it was influenza A or B?

I just finished my dose of Tamiflu last night:( It took 2 full days of the medication before my fever broke. We have both kiddos (and my husband) on it now, preventatively.
Hope you feel better soon. This flu has been awful.

DS took Tamiflu on a Saturday morning and his fever broke sometime overnight Monday night/early Tuesday morning. So 3 days.

Like 2-3 days? But DD was only 8 months and didn't have much immunity against any bugs yet. And anyway, I don't think Tamiflu helps as much once there are symptoms. DS on the other hand, took it before he had a fever - he had a flu shot, but he was starting to look a little flushed and seemed sick also. He was fine the next day.
Hope you all feel better soon!

@travellingbee: He did have the flu shot and I think that’s why his symptoms were so mild. I’m not sure which strain it was. Hope your LO is feeling better soon.
