With #1 I started vomiting almost right away and never stop - seriously, I threw up every single day right up to, and including, the day he was born.

This is #2 and I'm only 5 weeks but no morning sickness so far...I'm sorry yours had been worse this time! From what I've read that seems unusual, it's more typical for it to be less extreme the second time.

After he came out. But I didn't throw up every day...I was nauseous with no appetite every day, but probably only threw up twice a week or so. (I am SO sorry @wonderstruck: !)

I think I threw up every day until 17 weeks or so. I thought it would never end. Hope you're feeling better sooner rather than later!

@mrskc: Not well! I won't even get into the details because it would totally be thread-jacking, but I seriously questioned our decision to have a child about a million times. But Zofran was seriously a lifesaver for me, maybe you should consider asking your doctor about it. Although it didn't stop my morning sickness, I went from throwing up like 5+ times a day to once or twice. If you're already throwing up just once or twice it would probably downgrade you to some nausea with no throwing up.

Other things that sometimes helped...lemon-scented things, sea bands, and refried beans (I guess beans help bind together the bile making you sick?)

@mrskc: I thought that too...now I'm pregnant again with an 8 month old, haha! I couldn't wait until my doctor's appointment for obvious reasons, I called before she had ever even met me because I just couldn't take it anymore, and she called in a prescription. And yes, letting your stomach get empty is bad! I totally felt the same way though about not wanting to eat something once I threw it up. If you have some safe foods that usually sound good and go down well, I'd send your DH to the store to stock up!

Same for me...Zofran finally kicked in around 20 weeks. I mostly didn't throw up or have nausea if I stuck with the zofran/unisom/b6 combo.

@Boogs: I want to say 12/13 weeks? Crazy how I forget things!

I threw up every day (multiple times, usually) through 22 weeks with DS. This pregnancy I threw up 1-2x a week through 15 weeks and then I stopped having such bad nausea.

18 weeks. It was horrible.

Hate to say it, but 22 weeks was the magical week for me both times. I've thrown up a little less this pregnancy since I haven't worked every day like #1, but it didn't help the lack of appetite our feeling like ass for so long. Hang in there

@mrskc: you realize this is all happening because you were worried about not having symptoms in the beginning, right?

I think around 23-24wks I stopped actually throwing up, though I had nausea the whole way through.

I was prescribed Zofran with my first pregnancy because I was losing too much weight from throwing up and being sick. The Zofran kept me from vomiting and make the nausea not so bad. That being said, I had morning sickness until 16ish weeks the first time and a tad bit longer this second pregnancy.

Oh, and I also had late third trimester morning sickness with both pregnancies. That is one thing I really wasn't prepared for.

In between 15 and 16 weeks for me! Everyone kept telling me that it would be like a switch flipped once I began my 2nd trimester, but it was a pretty gradual thing. I just started feeling less sick here and there until it eventually disappeared.

It's no fun, and I hope it ends for you soon!
