I would so it was on record - that way if it happens again, or if someone targets/vandalized your car again, it may help to have a history of it.

Yes. You might realize later that something is missing. Did you check to make sure your registration is there?

yes, my mom always reports creepy things, then the police can see a pattern in your neighbourhood.

If you're up to it, it's a good idea to report any suspicious activity. Helps local law enforcement know if certain areas may need additional monitoring.

This just happened 2 weeks ago. Id left my car unlocked on my driveway and in the morning I could tell someone had gone through it. Nothing was missing so I wasn't going to report it. Turns out all my neighbors cars were broken into, windows shattered and things stolen. If I hadn't been in a hurry though I probably would've reported it just so it would be on record.

@Baby Boy Mom: Yes. It's still a crime, even if nothing was stolen. I'm glad nothing was taken!

Yes, this has happened to us before (accidentally left the car unlocked the night before), and I reported it.

We did end up reporting it just in case. Thankfully we had just emptied everything out of the car a few days ago because it was in the shop for a couple days. DH thinks they were just looking for cash/valuables but who knows.
@Ra: yes!
@Grace: @BeachMama: @Pancakes: sorry you had to go through it too! It's so unnerving.

@Baby Boy Mom: The change wasn't even missing. DH thinks they were looking for a garage door opener.
