DH wanted to name our DD Leyna from a billy joel song, but I wanted her current name Audrey, so we compromised since she was taking his last name and her middle name is Leyna

Zoey, which is her name. Zoey was always our second choice for a girl's name but it became our first choice after I fell out of love with my first (Sophia) due to popularity and just being tired of it. Also, DH always told me we were going to have kids until he had his little Zoey. So I always joke that I named her that so he'd get off my back about it. I came up with Lorelei (her middle name) and he agreed on it.

We have a girl and agreed on her name pretty easily. If she was a boy I was pushing for Carson and he was pushing for Calvin.

I'm really hoping we have a boy because we have already locked down that name, Dylan. However, if we were to have a girl, DH would like to name her Josie Jane and call her JJ... I'm just not into it as much as he is so crossing my fingers for a boy.

DH was pretty set on naming DS Legend...it didn't make the cut though

DH loves a girl's name is a slight variation on his name, literally the same name but ending in "-ie." I personally find that a little vain! It's a cute name, but we won't be using it. I would get them mixed up too easily anyway!

We had such a hard time with boy names and DH ended up (jokingly I hope!) with Panther. lol. I never imagined naming my kid after a jungle cat, it didn't make the cut!

@Sugar.Biscuit: I'll take your Francis and up you one:

DH wanted to name our son William Francis Jackson. When I said no freaking way, he said "fine... Francis William Jackson. Or Jackson Francis William."

    omg.

The newest development in hubby's baby name obsession? The middle name WaitForIt.

As in Kennedy Wait For It...... Lastname.

Yes. We watch too much How I Met Your Mother.

@Mrs. Pen: LOL! Los middle name is Frances. But it is for family reasons. I call her by both her first and middle I also like it for a boy...it was my daddys name though (and my middle) so that could be why I am biased.

Diego. He had his heart set on it. And I like it but not as a first name for my very English little boy. So it because a second name and I found a first name that DH loves even more.

@rachiecakes: lol my DH has a friend named Nicole that ruined the name for me too, which was a huge bummer because it's my middle name.. But she's the type of obnoxious bee-otch who would run around and tell everyone DH named his daughter after her, when in reality, it would've been me passing on part of my name to our daughter (and we don't even spell it the same! but she is just THAT obnoxious)

I'm pretty sure he would have named her Olivia since he loves that name and it reminds us of our honeymoon under the olive trees. It's her middle name instead
