If your friend were to stop by tomorrow, how long would you need to tidy up your house?

An hour. I have slacked this week because I've worked more hours than I usually do, and I'm trying to cram in as many study hours as possible. My SO has been getting stuff done outside since it hasn't been too hot and no rain. Cleaning time this weekend!

Honestly, if it was my friend, I wouldn't spend much time cleaning. Isn't that why we have friends? So they won't judge us???

@MamaMoose: My house is the opposite. It may not be spot less (tables could use a wiping, bathrooms could use a touch up) but it is always tidy. I can't stand toys in teh floor after LO goes to bed.

Honestly, a few days. I don't like to clean all at once. But if push came to shove, about an hour so I could vacuum, tidy the bathroom, clean the toilet, and tidy my kitchen.

maybe 5-10 minutes if they don't venture into my bedroom. I would just need to tidy the toys, throw out some junk mail and clean the guest bathroom.

my downstairs is clean! just a pile of boxes on the table that I have to take to savers.

upstairs is another story. I never have the energy to drag the vacuum up there..

Well if it's a close friend they won't get anything. They know how we live I'd probably need a solid 1-2hrs to get it to where I would feel good about it but I don't have that.

How good of a friend are they? Good = I make a pathway in the toys so the can come inside. I don't really change much for good friends, they are usually animal and kid people that understand and don't mind our chaos.

It's really a sliding scale- based on how much I like the person, how much work I have to finish for the week, and my current level of exhaustion. If it were my boss or someone staying with us, I would have several hours of cleaning to do.

10-20 mins. Although my house could use a good "deep" clean that would take 2 hours... we keep it pretty decent so a little straightening up is all that is really needed.
