In the elevator today.
Me: (Holding LO up close to the elevator buttons) Can you please press 2 now?
(Note - After I pick up LO from daycare, it is our routine to ride the elevator in the parking lot to our car. LO is obsessed with pressing the button to get to our floor)
(Stranger Pressed his floor at 4, and then press 2 "for me")
(LO broke out in an unstoppable hysterical cry)
Me: (bummed while trying to control crying toddler) Oh no, you pressed his button.
Stranger: You asked me to press 2 for you?
Me: No! I was talking to my son!
Stranger: ....
Motto of the story: If you encounter a crazy mom with young toddler boy(s), do NOT press the elevator buttons for them unless it is your floor, even if you think you were instructed to do so. Because chances are the crazy mom isn't talking to you.
And yes. I was *that* mom today. Sorry stranger.
