So, I have a long vagina (TMI) so I was progressing but the PA couldn't reach far enough back to tell. Do you have a long vagina? Haha I'm sorry. But that was a reason that I was progressing but it wasn't known.

I was told you can have no progress and go into labor that same day still, hang in there!

No signs before, but I went into labor the day before my due date. She was born 3 days later.
I joke that I willed that baby out. I bounced on a yoga ball for like 6 hours a day, walked 3 miles a day, and googled every symptom and old wives tale about starting labor the whole week before (bored at work). I was DONE.
Of course, once labor started it didn't go anywhere fast for a loooong time,

I saw my OB 3 days before DD was born (on her due date) and I was so closed up she was convinced she would see me for my first overdue appointment the next week. She even went away for the weekend so some random doc in the hospital had to deliver DD.

My midwife said that none of that is really an indication of how soon you'll go into labor - some people will stay at 2 or 3cm dilated for weeks. But for me personally, I was like you and ended up going into labor exactly on my due date.

DS1 arrived at 38 weeks + 4 days, and DS2 arrived at 39 weeks + 1 day. They both came shortly after having my first cervical check.

I continually was somewhat effaced and I think I got to 1 cm at like 38 weeks or so, but that was it. NO progress after that. Even during labor, they had me walk for hours, I came back, and was still a 3. I cried. Eventually my water broke a little, I went right to a 6, and then was able to have her vaginally. I was slow to progress but it still worked! Oh, and this was all happening on my due date, though she was born the next morning. Hope you progress randomly and suddenly ON TIME, like me!

I was dilated, effaced, and at +3 station at 37 weeks. Then the next two weeks, made "backward" progress. Went into labor at 39w3d, no signs before, but we "helped things along" the night I went into labor. Honestly, with my next pregnancy, I'm not even going to get cervical checks done.

I'm not much help because I had a scheduled c but I felt the same way (if I started dilating at all we would have discussed possible induction but nothing at all at 39 weeks...it was frustrating!) But keep in mind you can go from nothing to something really fast, so don't give up hope!

I was 2cm and 50% effaced starting around 35 weeks and had no change the following 2 weeks when I was induced.
