My due date was yesterday, and unfortunately, I wasn't dilated enough to warrant a membrane sweep. While my doctor is going to try again next week, she has tentatively set my induction at 42 weeks. Most women I know were induced no later than 41 weeks, so I'm curious what is/was considered average at your practice.

I see a fairly liberal, pro-natural birth OB, and she said that when the mother and baby are healthy, and there are no signs of GD, high blood pressure, abnormal swelling, or considerable weight gain, she's fine waiting until 42 weeks.
