So in light of both Jenny Renny and Cherri telling me I'm going to conceive a boy in a few months, I've been thinking about boy names.
The names we like so far are Jackson, Blake, Logan and Colby. Problem is that DH is on this kick where he absolute loves putting two of them together to get Colby Jackson. And as much as I like both Colby and Jackson on their own, I feel like we can't name our child after cheese (colby jack). DH on the other hands thinks its awesome.
So what do you guys think?

It's not awful, but I did think of cheese. I agree with PP--I like Jackson Colby better.

I didn't even think of the cheese until you mentioned it. Maybe it's because I don't use it often? I do like the name though, and previous posters' suggestion of swapping the order works well also!

I didn't think of the cheese either, until you mentioned it! Will this be a first name/middle name combo, or a double first name (like Mary Anne) combo? I do like Jackson Colby more!

Haha! I didn't think of it until you mentioned it but as soon as i read it I thought "I couldn't do it!"
Out of the names you have, I like the combo Jackson Blake.

I like the order switched as well, but DH can be really stubborn and he's not that big on Jackson as a first name.
I'm honestly not sure if he's kidding or if he thinks this is a good idea, lol. He can just be kinda funny about names. To give an example, for a girl he loved the name Chloe Zoey. I had to tell him that under no circumstances were we going to give our children names that rhyme.

My husband would be the same way and I don't know if he would be laughing or not. For example, one of our favorite names sounds a lot like a major, well know ski resort town when combined with our last name. I think this is a reason to avoid it, he thinks it makes it even better.
I probably wouldn't want to do it, but I really like both names. I think Colby would be great and it's a lot less popular than Jackson right now. No one will really call him by both names anyway.

My LO is Jackson Andrew (so sort of like the president, Andrew Jackson), and maybe three people have made that connection. Look at it this way- after the first few weeks after he's born, you're not going to be saying, " This is Colby Jackson", you're going to be introducing him as Colby. I think the name combo is cute, although I do prefer Jackson over Colby for a first name (but I am clearly biased, haha).

But pp are right, unless you're adamant about using both names, everyone will known him as either Colby or Jackon, not both.

I liked Colbie for a girl and googled it and got the cheese thing..didn't even know it was a cheese name until then! Haha.

I didn't think of cheese when I read it - I thought it was cute! But once you pointed out the cheese thing, then I was like "Oh....yeah." So maybe Jackson Colby???

I love the name Colby!!
I am a bit bias... my son's name is Cobi... well actually his given name is Jacobi and so people do say Cobi-Jack all the time but it's so whatevs. NBG to me.
I love the name Colby but I probably wouldn't put Jackson with it... however that's probably more of a personal preference.

Ahh! I loved it until you mentioned "Colby Jack Cheese!" However... I think I still kinda like it. I mean, it wasn't the first thing I thought of. My initial opinion was, "Wow, 2 cool names put together...nice!" Also, your son will rarely ever be called by both names unless it's in an endearing way. And even then, not everyone will pick up on it.
