Is your LO's name gender neutral?

Nope. Her first and middle are both definitely feminine.

I love neutral names though! I pulled hard for Sawyer.

Not really. Both are very traditional male names but I do remember a TV show when I was little had a female character with LO2's name and there are definitely female variations of his name. I have a unisex/masculine name and hated it growing up so I wouldn't ever choose to do the same to my kid.

    No.

I met my first female Owen the other day and love it!

Nope - I have an Ellie/Elizabeth. Quite feminine.

No. Both of her names are clearly feminine (Hyl@ S0phi@).

My son's name is pretty gender specific and I've never heard a pet use the name.

@NavyRN2012: I think August is unisex, too!

DD's name is not gender neutral, but it's not frilly feminine either, I don't think. I tend not to like the more recently trendy unisex names (Taylor, Jordan), but I like names like Kelly and Kit for boys, and would consider James or Michael for a girl.

@avivoca: Does the first syllable of your daughter's name sound like "hi" or "he"?

Yes. DD's name is Elliott so it's becoming more and more unisex.

Her name is very female-specific and (as far as I'm aware) also very human-specific. It might make a nice name for a dog though.

Grayson: unisex. Our Grayson is a boy, but have heard many girls named Grayson
Aurora: female. Her actual name is female, but we call her Rory, which is unisex

Her name is a male nickname, so yes it's unisex but spelled in the feminine way with an -ie at the end instead of a -y.

@avivoca: It's lovely! I taught a Hilla who was HEE-la, so I always wondered when I saw your daughter's name.

No, both our boys names are masculine and I've never heard of a girl being named either.
